For me it would be turning down the chance to fly back for the Chelsea 4-1 match when I saved the money for a beach BBQ

Every 'my favourite match' thread seems to feature that one with SKP

Change my beef and tomato pot noodle for a chicken and mushroom pot noodle

The last game i turned down was when i was younger i turned down Port vale away to go and see men in black at the pics. We got beat 3 or 4 nil though and it pissed down so it was a good decision in the end.

Last game of the season at Man City in 1990, my then girlfriend was chief bridesmaid at a wedding in Devon. I was living in London and had been to the vast majority of away matches all season.

I was in turmoil, undecided all week as to which to go to. Lots of pressure from the lass to go to Devon (I knew the couple getting married fairly well). Pressure from my mates to get up to Manchester (it was the days before all-ticket matches obviously).

In the end, on the Saturday morning, I drove down the M4 rather than up the M6. Listening to the radio was so hard, particularly with the twat reporter who did the 'if I tell Sunderland supporters that Mick Harford has scored' twattish thing (he'd scored an OG that more or less sent us down.

Had a shit night at the wedding and had a row with the girlfriend as a result. Ended up married to her, then divorced but still wish I'd been at one of them special days. One of the very few memorable matches from the 80s & 90s that I missed.

Oh and completely unrelated, I also really regret not shagging Deborah Hurst from 6th Form when I had the chance. With the benefit of hindsight I still have no idea why I didn't cos she was gorgeous and well up for it.

Sorry that's 2 things.
