If you could ask a past manager 1 Question

Denis Smith - (up there with my favourite SAFC gaffers Reid, Allardyce & Neil)
Do you regret selling your best mate Viv Busby up the river, only to be sacked yourself a few months later?

But as I love Denis Smith and wouldn't want to embarrass him with such an awkward question. So.....

Denis Smith - money was tight in 1990, but given the chance, do you think if you'd been allowed the budget to keep Gates & MacPhail as squad players, we'd have survived that season in the 1st division (Premier League for young'uns) & history could have been very different?

Reid: why the fuck did we not just enter the intertoto Cup? Could have played the kids, or used it as a pre season. Would have been a chance to get into Europe which might never come round again in our life times

Re Moyes , did anyone else see the Bein sports programme where Richard Keys gave an anecdote that he’d received a text from Moyes before his first premier league game in charge of us saying “ get ready to watch the worst premier league team ever”.
Twat of the highest order….

Advocaat, why the fuck did he allow Johnson back into the team.

Then Allardyce, was the Moyes season relegation (battle) inevitable given Shorts penny pinching and the rebuild needed

I'd ask him why he changed the spelling of his name......

He was dropped for the final - he left after that.

I heard that there was a massive row in the dressing room an hour before kick off.

West was told he wasn't playing and smacked Ashurst in the mouth. Ashurst hit West back and Howard Gayle was also involved.

Might explain our piss poor performance on the day.

Allardyce: Do you wish Iceland hadn't beaten England and you'd stayed at SAFC as a result?

My view is that we would never have been relegated as long as Big Sam was at the club...
I think his signings crippled us finally.

Heard that at the time, who'd been told by someone (a fringe player he knew well) at the club. Ian Wallace's lack of capabilities (height, mobility & pace) contributed to the discussion.
