Starting on film 4 now....
The new bridge?
Sol being extended? About time.
73,000 IIRC..same as the mags.
Am I the only person who doesn’t get this film?
‘Major new development.’
I built it and nee fucker came
Hopefully Kevin Costa will have better luck.
Fixing the expansion joints again.
His coffee shops are doing well..probably build some more.
You mean you don't understand the appeal, or you don't understand the plot?
They don't make expensive films like this any more. Too much thinking required from the audience.
Is a $15m budget expensive for a film? Or just for a "thinky" film, you mean? Either way, FoD is more an emotions movie than a thinky one, I would have said. I still can't watch it without crying when
his dad turns up
It requires a bit of working out of what's going on. These days the comedy sidekick would basically look into the camera and explain it.
If you're into movies that require a little thought (or at least attention) rather than being overly simplistic, have you seen Only Lovers Left Alive?
Probably my favourite movie of the last 5 years. Jim Jarmusch(Coffee & Cigarettes)'s take on the vampire theme.
The thinking person's (or arty person's) vampire movie.
I found it inspiring. I'd recommend it to anyone that's a bit bored of simplistic hollywood films.
It's not complicated in the way Primer is complicated, it's just not one of your standard modern vapid hollywood movies. It's certainly not your standard vampire movie. I wouldn't even class it as a horror movie.
I don't mean to derail the thread to talk about another movie, I just like to recommend it to people when the opportunity arises because I don't think enough people even know it exists.
Watching Back to the Future on E4
The appeal. It’s a waste of time.
