If we go up this season we should be aiming for top 6 in championship next season

Nagh. Not having it that most would be satisfied with survival or mid table. Once we actually go up most peoples expectations will shift. Especially with the current ownership!

First we need to get promoted - in our own hands but a lot of work still to do.

Secondly - the current squad will not be good enough to push for top six - and bringing in a raft of new players will not guarantee that either. New players will take time to bed in and we don't want to potentially undermine the apparent newly found harmony in the club.

People go on about the championship now as if it’s this fantastic league where you have to spend hundreds of millions to get out of it but look at Barnsley winning every week now. If they can do it no reason why we can’t if we try and get 5/6 good players in . Maybe 2/3 premiership loans and 2/3 permanent signings

no top two end of

With how many players we’ve got out of contract this summer it’s the perfect time to transition the squad between the leagues, mid table and a sensible season would do the job.

You cannot instantly buy your way into the top. It would be crazy to even try.
I would personally go for the Brentford model. Healthy business and well considered investments all the way.

Aye. I see nothing wrong with aiming high but as long as actions are sensible we can see where we end up.

Let's get promoted first though

We appear to have a plan of developing youth/utilising the academy more. Players we buy will likely be young or overseas players that we've identified can adapt to our game. This is going to take time, reality is 2/3 seasons i think.

Our natural advantages of size and history don't mean much in reality. Look at the Championship at present, Sheff Wed, Forrest and Derby in the bottom half, Stoke mid-table. There's only really Norwich performing and they have a squad that was in the PL last season.

Yes we should be.

Not for me, they’ve been in the championship for yonks. They’re a small club that have devised a model that suits them, something somewhere in the middle perhaps.

Why stop at the playoffs? Might as well win the division and both cups while we're at it.

f***ing hell. Only if we sign an entirely new squad which won’t happen. The current team will come flying back down bottom of the league. Only the onion and Sanderson(not ours) Wright potentially wyke and Jones (not ours) have a chance.
