If we go up this season we should be aiming for top 6 in championship next season

Hit and miss it seems, either way Sunderland will go up as they look well a organised side but very limited in my opinion, that will be enough in this division but next year is a different ball game however it depends on what this new owner wants to spend I guess, I bet come the middle of next season you will only have a few of this starting line up playing, this team would not cope at all.

And the 3 before them nearly got relegated. It's a big jump.
Who do you support like?

If we go up, we need an overhaul. With the contract situation as it stands, we'll have a clean slate.
If we go up we should be aiming to get promoted again and possibly win the FA Cup.
 We should petition for a place in the Europa anarl seeing as we're now pizza cup holders.

Probably SEB but has anyone pointed out that the 3 promoted teams from last season are currently in the bottom 5?

Of the 3 relegated teams from the prem, 2 are the current top 2 and the 3rd are nicely p;aced for the play-offs?

Ambition is admiral, but consolidation must come first.
Aye but last season has a huge question mark over it, neither Rotherham or Wycombe looked the 2nd or 3rd best team in the league. Only Coventry looked legitimate and to be fair their best 2 forwards have missed a lot of games through injury and they still have kept their head above water so far.

I feel like we could go up and strengthen, which hasn't really happened in a while, even Luton lost their two star full backs, and Barnsley lost Pinnock and Moore.

Same thing as Brentford. Lots of analysis in their approach. And spending smart money. Spending smart money isn't a based on one golden rule, it's based on the resources at hand and available. Brentford had an academy they deemed not worth keeping, it was losing money. FCM have a good academy, developing lots of good young players, so they keep it.
Since Benham took over in 2014, they have won 3 Danish championships. None prior to that. Once qualified to Europa League group stage, where they went on to lose against Man U in round of 32, iirc Rashford scored on his senior debut. And then last year's Champions League group stage.

Sounds good. Who carries out the analysis though? It's an integral part of how Brentford and FCM run and recruiting the correct people is important.

Also, how will Brexit affect this approach for British clubs?

How would I know which companies in UK are up to such a task?

As for the Brexit part, again, not my task.

I would love to have the skills to 😉
I merely say that from my point of view, this should be the approach. And then for board, recruiting etc to find capable people/firms. And I have no idea which firms could be up to the task.

That would be failure and the manager would be sacked deservedly so

There are maybe 3 players from Sunday that are worth giving a go in the Championship.

Get to shite. We aren't out of League 1 yet and people are saying we need to get out the Championship.

If the first season we steer clear of the drop zone and build a solid team ready to climb the top half the year after i'll be absolutely ecstatic.

Few good results and people are planning the next Derby Day :lol:

What a load of bollocks. I remember when Peter Reid took over and just say kept us up and the next season we won the league. I’m not saying we will go up and win the league, I realise we aren’t promoted yet but if we do go up the club will be buzzing, big crowds at the stadium and an ambitious chairman so I don’t think 6th would be completely unrealistic. It would be a very good season.

Because IF we get promoted I would expect us to go out and buy a better standard of players ourselves. Isn’t our manager meant to have good connections with Chelsea etc if we were looking for loans
You're expecting a lot and we don't have a manager, just a very, very poor, head coach!
