If the new gaffer doesn't win in his first 5 games

Nope because you have to give him a fair chance, Mowbray did well last season but results and his tactics lost him his job. I'm never one for wanting to change managers all the time but it felt as though Mowbray come to the end and the board thought that also.

Well we're about half way through the season aren't we, so I think he'll get until the summer whatever happens.

Plenty of time to have an impact beyond the first five games.
This. Sometimes people need time to get their ideas across. Look at the bloke at Bournemouth. They looked awful at the start of the season but are looking decent now.

Aye mate, all fickel
Don’t get why a very small element of our fan base criticize ourselves ?
TM mentioned on numerous occasions how he never really appreciated our support -and the encouragement the young uns get is crucial
Last thing for me wrong with the club is a fan base of 40000 who turn up every week despite a staggering lack of success in my 60 plus years ( one cup !)

We don't know how effective the forwards are when they have not been given the right service.
The right man with a bit of tactical nous will get one or more of these young lads firing.
Maybe in the medium term, when there is time for training, but not in the first 5 games over Christmas, which was the point of the thread and my post.

Unless we drop like a stone and flirt with the drop

Then I’d clamour for a old sweat to keep us up in that situation

The new euro gaffer is gonna be a tactical god anyway so no drama
