Not sure the last time we won ten games in a row - maybe over 100 year ago??![]()
We didn't win 10 games in a row in our 105 points season

Not really how it worksI'd take having a relegation season for all the extra money. It wouldn't be pretty, but we'd tear the champo a new one the season after. IMO.
Neil & Alese into tier 2 imo, but agreed otherwise.Tier 1 (likely to do fine) :
Ballard
Neil
Amad
Clarke
Tier 2 (might do fine):
Stewart
Roberts
Hume
Baath
O'Nien
Paterson
Michut
Cirkin
Tier 3 (bench at best/sold/loaned out):
Embo
Pritchard
Gooch
Evans
Elise
Ekwah
Ba
etc
We'd need 2 CFs, 2 CMs, a CB, an FB and a winger of Tier 1/ 2 standard
Who’s this half wit?I know it’s only one tie but we couldn’t even beat Fulham in the cup when they played their reserves and then lost the home tie to them. That’s just a mid table premier league team as well, this squad would need huge investment just compete against the drop.
I wouldn't be arsed if we went down.
£100m+ banked and sensible signings like we are now. We'd be the strongest team in the championship on our return
It’s the only true semi competitive league with a decent standard now really. The premier league is just a competition of whose owner can shovel the most money into the fire now each season frankly.Yeah. The point of competitive sport is to perform as well as possible at as high a level as possible.
However, I do find myself thinking about the silver lining if we don’t go up. I think we are already in the most exciting English division. Most games are competitive, anyone can beat anyone on their day and look how tight it’s been all season! Goals galore and the quality of football is decent. Plus you don’t have to put up with, for now at least, VAR.
Imagine if Burnley, Sheff United and Luton go up, Wigan, Reading, Blackpool go down and are replaced by Leeds, Forest, Everton, Ipswich, Derby and Sheff Wed.
That would be a cracking set of clubs all in the championship.
I don't think we would. If we gan up and it's an outside chance, we will have deserved it.If we did go up this year we'd be fucked in the PL mind, but at least we'd pocket some cash and join the ranks of parachute clubs
You say that as if people don't still talk about the 15 and 19 point seasons sucking the life out of the club, the supporters and the city.
There's no way that people wouldn't be absolutely screaming for Mowbrays head, as if half the squad would want to stay in such a negative attitude etc. As if people wouldn't be saying that KLD is banking the money/ cashing it for himself, as if supporters would trust the process and squad building in the future etc.
I'd expect us to invest significantly if we did go up. Why not?Whipping boys but who would give a shit?
Learn, compete, improve and keep the squad together then go again. Would take careful fiscal management but it should be our aim.
Why on earth would we not want to be ahead of where we planned to be and be richly awarded for it. Madness not to want that.
That's why you sign peopleWe wouldn't be able to play a 2 man midfield, particularly with the personnel we have in there now, they get overrun in this league at times. In the premier league it'd be relentless.
No shit. That's why you sign people
Yes, I know that no one thinks this will happen but it is possible mathematically. If it did how many of our current squad could cope in the top flight?
Patto
Ballard
Hume
Neil
Clarke
Rosco
Amad - if willing.
Like strikers? That's why you sign people
