There is a simple point here. No fucker on here knows anything about him, but our scout knows loads. Added to that, even proven class elsewhere remain shite in the premier league at times. Simple point = no one knows how good he'll be till he plays, if he comes at all

Saye who? Cliché? Surely it's down to the individual.

Claudio Yacob popped over from Argentina last summer and made an immediate impact. Jelavic came from Scotland which is worse than Serie B standard and made an impact. Benteke came from the Jupiler League and made an immediate impact. Geoff Cameron came from the MLS and did well for Stoke.

Meanwhile, others who came from more reputable leagues failed to have any impact at all. There were half a dozen in January for the Mags for a start.

Where players come from offer precious few clues really. The quality of the player and application of the individual is everything, and whilst people bicker in blindness about semantics here, the bloke who knows him doesn't seem to think coming here and being a big asset is beyond him and his club have been resistant to selling him. Those are the real clues.

Get off your fuckin high horse man.

If you don't think we need experience in central midfield this season you need your head testing.

If we get both then I will be delighted. But we need a quality midfielder who knows this league inside out, we have needed one since we came back up.

Trolling a new thread mate as you have been shown to be a twat on the other one?

I think people forget where we finished last season, we have made some very good signings, but only 3 new outfield players so far will start against Fulham.

We desperately need more quality IMO, with a high class centre mid vital.

Obviously this Duncan is highly rated but there are very very few 19 year olds playing week in week out in the Premier League, there is a reason for that.

Right... so.... I construct an actual argument, citing examples, respecting your opinion, and simply projecting a counter one. As a retort, you fire an insult my way, dismiss me out of hand, and offer absolutely zero that is actually tangible to the debate.

... and you think it's ME on my high horse?

I'm not saying 'sign him' i've no clue - but Fishpaste has a great point - that the scout actually does rate him and he will have seen him in training and matches on many an occasion. To be honest i think we need pace and power, and ability to make a pass, ahead of experience. Quality is the main criteria whoever that might be, and we just won't get a top top quality tried and tested central midfielder signing for us , so we have to find a way around it. But to be honest if you post the history of most 20 year olds you'd get similar to the above, maybe less experience. It really is just arguing for arguing's sake.

 Look at my last post.

I gave a reasoned argument.

There are virtually no 19 year olds starting week in week out in the premier league.

All the players you named are experienced players.

We have made good signings but only 3 outfield changes to our starting 11.

We desperately need more experience.

I never said because its Serie B, its one season, hes just a kid.

We finished 17th last season, we needed significantly improving.

You seem to take offense with anyone who disagrees with you, and particularly anyone who dare crticise our new regime. Just because you write a free blog, it doesn't make your opinion more valid.

I'm glad I don't do a useful blog in my spare time, it's like the worst thing EVVVEEERRRRR!

Too aggressive for me so I haven't bothered reading.

Really not aggressive in the slightest. If you dare criticise Fishpaste you get jumped on these days.
