This should be pinned to the top of the board.

If the new structure thinks they are good enough, then sign them no matter how young or inexperienced they are. If they've failed 12 months down the line then twist about it

They won't give 12 minutes before they are tossing themselves off in delight.

Where did I say Quality?

Countinhio played more than 40 games before moving to Liverpool, your stats are wrong.

Also Veira played near enough 60 games in a poor Ligue 1 as you say which contained poor players such as Zinedine Zidane and Claude Makele at the time.

MARE

I said 'about 40 starts', bonehead. STARTS. Gan back to Wikipedia mate.

7 Europa League
3 Champs League
14 Primera
15 Serie A
7 Brazilain Top division

45. Reckon that is 'about 40', like.

Urrrm.. 'MARE' etc etc etc.

Isn't it always the same on here with some though. All these major changes at the club to try and get the right players in and then everyone twists because they haven't got experience

He has now but when they signed him he only had 6 and I think they were mostly sub appearances. Also only had 30 club starts to his name too and in a league that isn't really recognised as being easy to move to the Premier League from.

13 caps before Chelsea move, only two of those from the subs bench

7+3+14+15+7=45?,banks is right full blown mare:lol:

blast from the past but Kinkladze was only about 22 and had only really played in georgia before signing for city and having an immediate impact.

Sjolskaer had only played in his native Norway prior to joining Man Utd at about 23 yr old.

Dare I say it but Simon Mignolet, St Truiden to Sunderland at about 22yr old.

Kolo Toure played for some Ivorian team before signing for Arsenal as a 21 yr old.

I'm not trying to say that this Duncan kid will be ready to make the immediate step into the premier league but there are some examples where relatively little experience doesn't necessarily go against you.

If the fee being bandied around when he was first linked then he is going to be a gamble for us should he sign, hopefully the scouts have seen something in him to suggest he can make an immediate impact......guess we will just have to wait and see

But he appeared 93 times and started 62 games not 45.

As I said youre having a Mare.

Youre exactly right but my argument stands that:

No young foreign player has had an immediate impact with as little experience as Alfred Duncan currently has.

Every player mentioned so far has more experience than Duncan has.

Nicholas Anelka

I agree 100%, with our new scouting network we will continue to bring in unknown talent, they're professionals and the know what they're looking for, sure some won't make no signing is guaranteed to work. I think most people realise people like Angeloni are more suited to judge players than us.

Mind asking people to wait 12 months is a bit much, some on here have already written off Altidore :lol:

I didn't say that, though. I said starts. And besides, if you add up his whole minutes before Liverpool (4134) by 90, it works out at 45.9. I can split hairs with the best of them mate, especially when literally the only think coming back at me is 'mare' in a variety of styles.

He's the only player Mooseknuckle thinks is a good signing, which is a bit worrying really :-D
