The best but about that was the morning after. Shearer had the right hump with Gullit (or Kluivert, depending on which planet you live on) and he set his alarm clock proper early to get in before anybody else. He was determined to have it out with Gullit for dropping the leading goal scorer and losing to the local rivals. In truth I dont blame him for being upset if it was his decision![]()
He was a better player than Linekar & Owen but they both did more in an England shirt than Shearer did. Shearer's England record is similar to David Platt's - Shearer played 1 more game & scored 3 more goals, though Platt was an attacking midfielder, not an out & out strikerBest striker England has had
I admire how he's turned it around. Not sure if people remember, but he was dreadful initially. Apparently he took lessons in how to do a better job of it, which is itself admirable. And hadn't played for them, would you like him more as a pundit?
Must admit I quite like him as a pundit tbh. Please only sensible adults reply and not radgies
Ant and Dec are great if your a woman or a child
I thought everyone on here was agreed that he is a wanker, he even has the hatAnd hadn't played for them, would you like him more as a pundit?

He talks like he played football fair and by the book and done nothing wrong but he was always elbowing players, how he never got a red card. Prefer listening to him than Keane though.
I generally turn the game on at the first whistle and turn it off at the last so I don't know what Shearer has been like trying to analyse these games but when I've seen him on MOTD over the last couple of years (I also don't watch that normally) he was absolutely f***ing shite.I admire how he's turned it around. I've got nowt against Shearer. He was an amazing striker, best of his generation in England, maybe even the world for quite some time.
Loved to be fly on the wall with Dunc v Gullit. The best but about that was the morning after. Shearer had the right hump with Gullit (or Kluivert, depending on which planet you live on) and he set his alarm clock proper early to get in before anybody else. However as he walked up the stairs to the manager’s office, through the closed door he could hear shouting and things be knocked over. Apparently Duncan Ferguson was also proper unhappy about being dropped, had got there even earlier and there was hell on already.
Big Dunc’s Wili page is funny - about his house being burgled (twice!) and on both occasions the burglars needed hospital treatment.![]()
I said he was dreadful initially. I didn't say I thought he was especially good nowI generally turn the game on at the first whistle and turn it off at the last so I don't know what Shearer has been like trying to analyse these games but when I've seen him on MOTD over the last couple of years (I also don't watch that normally) he was absolutely f***ing shite.
He would describe exactly what happened and leave it there. So if he's actually started adding actual analysis then that'd already be an improvement
Aye cheers ,both DutchGullit. The game when it pissed down iirc
How man easy mistake as they look similarKluivert
