I can't see the Chinese super league being able to compete with the best leagues in Europe in terms of marketing etc. It'll be a place (like the US) where decent players go out to pasture.

Tbf, I don't think MLS have ever been able to attract players like Oscar, Ramires, Jackson Martinez, Witsel, that Brazilian at Shakthar etc i.e. quality players in their primes who big European clubs still wanted. Although tbf Oscar, Ramires and Martinez were more bench-warmers at big clubs and Witsel and the other lad were already time-wasting in Russia/Ukraine so hardly a big miss to European footy. I read somewhere that they were trying to get the likes of Dele Alli and Harry Kane over there on 700k a week or something stupid like that, it'll take a player like that making the move to really set the cat among the pigeons.

I bet all those players at some point wanted to play in the premier league aye.

If you were money driven and a Chinese club bid for you and it was rejected you wouldn't be annoyed? Would you not try to force that move? As shitty as it is we've seen far too often players have too much power.
So it's OK for the Premier League but not for CSL? A mid table PL can offer more money than the likes Ajax or Anderlecht. European clubs have been raiding South America for decades. But China can't do the same?

I do think that we need to open up European competition to include the rest of the world, I know we have the world club cup but that should be more intergrated so that people actually care about it

The premier league has other attractions other than just money. Most European clubs do. Players going to China are simply going for money. It's understandable but it doesn't mean I have to like it.
