This, i find it hilarious that the media are twisting on about China paying big bucks but when the Premier League did it to the detriment of other leagues and the national team you may argue, well thats fine.

:lol::lol:
Be fair mate, they're a bit weird and foreign and talk funny

Which is exactly what the Premier League, Bundesliga, La Liga and Serie A have done for years with the Scandinavian leagues, Polish league, Czech league, Dutch league, Belgian league etc. etc.

People want to watch those leagues. I can't imagine many wanting to watch the Chinese league.

Two sides to that coin. I'll put my tin hat on but I agree in today's climate Bournemouth and Sunderland are similar sized clubs but on the other side of the coin clubs like Leicester and Crystal Palace are paying £30m for players.

Leicester for example have always been a mediocre club and usually bouncing between the top two divisions (I think Man City and us hold the record for most second tier titles). This season the only non English clubs who will generate a bigger income than Leicester are:

Barcelona
Real Madrid
Bayern Munich
Borussia Dortmund
Juventus
PSG

That could be Sunderland in a few years if they buy well. So at the higher end of the spectrum you could have more financial power than the Milan clubs, Atletico Madrid, Monaco, etc but at the bottom end any club that finds it's way to the PL automatically becomes a threat as Sunderland have no inherent advantage over them.

The possibility that a regional club like Sunderland can become bigger than AC Milan or smaller than Burton Albion in the next few years makes football a bit more exciting.
I just yearn for the end of the sky gravy train , as I'm sure increasing numbers of fans do

There's over a billion people in China who might want to. Guangzhou Evergrande got an average crowd of ~45000 last season so there's some market as far as going to the games is concerned. Once they get big names in, they'll get worldwide TV audiences as well.

As far as I'm concerned, they could buy every big name in football and I still wouldn't watch it. Sunderland are all I care about and I like the fact we play in the biggest and best league personally.

Will be an amazing league if it really takes off over there, massive potential, we need to get ourselves known in the region, imagine the shirt sales! (no knock offs).

His specs make him look like bright wright.
There must be a Sandarand over there we could relocate to. If not just build a new city

Ultimately I'd like to see us become a more successful club than Bournemouth again

Tidied.

Bournemouth may be doing better than us right now on the pitch but we are clearly a much bigger club. You may as well say Leicester are bigger than Man United because they are the current champions.

In income terms we are probably smaller than afcb now
