Didn't see any violence that day, but remember hearing of a coach being bricked...hmmm but that could have been Leeds

'we want fatty back' after fat Portsmouth fan was being ejected at Roker Park for showing his massive belly and giving us the V's. To our amazement, he was let back in.

Never forgett that i used to stand in the main stand paddocks at the time he took some shit that day and he loved it !

i missed my cousins wedding to see us get beat 3-1 at burnley:oops:

that was leeds, i definitely remember a picture of derby fans and sunlun fans fighting and it got posted on the front of a book!

...one of the lads on the Seaham branch bus arrived back just before it was about to leave proudly proclaiming he'd cupped Ross Wallace's 'massive balls' after he scored in the 90th minute, dived in the crowd and got sent off in the 1-0 at Hull.

There was a class pic of the deed taking place and it was on Soccer AM's 3rd eye

Not the same season obviously, found this trying to get the Wallace goal and subsequent molestation.

Our away support is truly a thing to behold, considering this is at another team's ground that's hairs on the back of the neck stuff.

We beat Man City in 73
We got beat off Hartlepool
We lost 8-0 at Watford
We beat Oxford 7-0
We beat Southend 7-0
Sheff Utd in the play offs
The Swindon play off at Wembley
Losing at City to send us down
Howard Gayle almost bursting the net against Forest
Gary Rowell scoring his first goal in 18 months, off his shoulder in a 4-1 win against dirty Leeds

When we scored 16 goals in 3 games and still went down

We played a fifteen year old kid in goal.

That one too. Poor lad had a whole career being compared to Monty

Edwards v Burnley
Reid's last minute winner v West Ham
Armstrong's header against Chelsea

Along with most of you, the last game was played at Roker Park. That's the mother of all Sunderland related memories for me. I was a gibbering wreck at the end.

Armstrong's header against Chelsea

Walked back to the car on cloud 9 after that, only to discover that some twat had broke into it and stolen the stereo.

We lost 4-1 at home to Fulham in the FA Cup 3rd round in 1968 or 69. My first ever game and this 8 year old from Newcastle was hooked.
