I'm not sure I've ever heard anyone say Liam Gallagher is a decent live singer?

:eek::lol:

youtube oasis live from 94-98 and see that he was superb.

edit: in fact youtube beady eye four letter word zane lowe and hear that he still can be good (only a few weeks ago).

Liam's voice has been compared to a blend of John Lennon and John Lydon[40] while Allmusic's Stephen Thomas Erlewine dubbed him "the best singer in rock".[41] In 2006, Q magazine voted Gallagher the 11th best singer of all time.

I heard people can him a prick, cretin and an arsehole. Never a decent singer. I think Beady Eye is Liam Gallaghers mid-life crisis.

I think he's decent, particularly in the period you mention, but the above is absolute f***ing nonsense!

Jesus wept.

Thus proving that Allmusic and Q are written by utterly clueless kids.

NME recently said Liam Gallagher is the greatest front of all time. That just says it all!!

Liam Gallagher early Oasis was a superb live singer, anyone who cant see that is living in cloud cuckoo land. Voice is pretty much shot now but that was always going to be the case with the strain he was putting on his vocal chords in the early part of his career

Please note I am putting these smiles down :oops::lol::neutral::confused: for no particular reason but it must mean I have won the argument as the ones who put the most smiles in there posts do

The bit you posted said 11th greatest singer of all time, why would Pavarotti not be in contention for that accolade?

Do you genuinely think he's around the top 20 or so of all time?

Ashcroft wouldn't be up there for me either by the way.

From the "peak years" of Oasis alone, there were the likes of Chris Cornell, Eddie Vedder, Scott Weiland, Axl Rose, Sebastian Bach... the list of better live vocalists than Gallagher is practically endless.

"Proper" singers like Pavarotti can't be counted, mate, that'd be unfair on talentless shite pseudo-singers like Gallagher cos there's so many trained opera singers in the world, all of whom are better vocalists than Britpop has ever seen.

I don't want to look. Don't make me look.

AAAAAARRRRRRRGGGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHH!!!

Best comment on that page... "Did Japan deserve another catastrophe?" :lol:
