I hope Moyes stays

Probably a bit of a lone voice here but I will be very disappointed if they sack Moyes at the end of the season. Bringing in someone else now will just promote all the uncertainty that a new manager brings - time to settle in time to assess what is needed , who is needed and who is not, time to find new targets etc etc.
Yes DM has not done a good job, but then it was never going to be easy for whoever came in. The clock is ticking for him, but now he has from now to organise everything so that we hit the ground running in the championship. I would think the time for him to get the bullet would be mid - December if we are not shaping up and at least in the top 10.

tin hat on and dog's abuse expected
It's to late to sack or for him to resign.
It should have happened when we had a chance.

he will be gone man, sacked or not sacked his position is untenable now.

If there's to be a change, it'll have to happen in the next month. With the finances and short head hunting him, I don't see it happening...

It doesn't I know, I was just giving one individual / factor. If we got in a replacement in January, another factor...

I really doubt this; hit the ground running and the fans will go with it.

That's what I meant IF he starts well and wind games with a decent style he'll get the fans back on side.

Wont like

Pretty much my opinion. Happy to discuss it in the pub before the match but it is pointless even trying to express an opinion on here. This relegation has been six years in the making. Moyes has done a bad job but there was just so much had built up. He is probably the only "proper" manager we have had in the whole time we have been back in the Prem (well him and Bruce). He is capable of managing in the Championship and I would give him at least a season to see how that goes.

I agree it was always a hard job but he's f***ing butchered it. He's heading into Wilko territory here.
I've been thinking about this and on balance Moyes is by far the worst manager we've had in the past twenty years.

Wilkinson took over a complacent, disinterested side on the slide, without any money or means of making an impact and ultimately played a bad hand badly. His tenure was short and really he was rightly gotten rid of as quickly as he came in.

McCarthy again had little in the way of money and likewise it can be said, played a bad hand badly in the fifteen point season.

Di Canio had the 3-0 and managed to keep us up before losing the dressing room in spectacular fashion (Moyes on the other hand I don't think has ever had it). To be fair to Di Canio, he was off his tits but everything he said about our players was spot on.

Moyes took over a side that looked like it was making progress at the end of last season, he didn't have an entirely bad hand at all, and had two transfer windows and more time and better resources than any of the three above and has actually taken us backwards. He's a useless, negative twat and the sooner he fucks off the better.

Fair play for the post however you are seriously in the minority.

However wanting this man as a manager of the club you love is crazy, he has destroyed everything we had built up within 11 months, he oozes negativity and is totally clueless, each to there own I suppose but I really don't know how you can still back him
I don't particularly want him as the manager. I didn't think he was a good choice when we got him. If we had sacked him with 15 games to go i wouldn't have minded in the least.
However, having reached this stage i think there is no point in sacking him and appointing somebody new. (The only exception would be if we were to get new owners and a huge injection of cash). I suspect he really is yesterday's man. He was decent at Preston and Everton if he is to be any good again the next 8 months will show it. If we got a new manager now (and god knows who it would be) i can just hear him saying this is going to be a slow long term rebuild. Better to stick with DM , there will be big changes, if there is a manager in there anywhere this will be the time we will see it. He knows all the squad- strengths?,weaknesses bad apples etc. Having stuck with him this long i think it would be stupid to bring in a complete newcomer.

Why cause his opinion differs to yours?
Because his 'opinion' is a load of bollocks. I'm sick of this "Everyone is entitled to their opinion" shite. It does nothing but give people a sense of entitlement and this ridiculous belief that what they're saying even when contrary is equally valid even to quantifiable fact, even when the stuff they're coming out with i.e "I want Moyes to stay, he hasn't done such a bad job..." is quantifiably false and horrifically f***ing stupid.
