I think it's a direction we had no other choice in heading towards. The club has gone from one disaster to the next for years now. Thing is I don't think PDC is as mental as we might think, he has a lot to learn obviously, especially regarding what he tells the media but I really believe he is the forward thinking coach MON should of been and I do believe he will do very well here.

I think you're right, something had to be done. Let's see what sort of quality we get in, without better players nothing will work. There was something wrong with O'Neill either inside or outside football, I smell a rat here.

We where shit all season, but di canios hands were very much tied by the paper thin squad we had. Got to giv him a chance. If he can sign just 1 player who isn't slow as fuck with a smaller turning circle than Brett angell we could Beijing forward

I don't think that as a business we had any choice but to do something completely different. Short has artificially supported the club to the tune of 20m a year for nothing but treading water. In fact, in my opinion we would go down next season if we followed the same or another similar path.

We may still of course. This could go horribly wrong but I agree for now that something completely different is the best way forward.

The key question is have we picked the best completely different option.

Only time will tell. I personally admit that I know absolutely nothing about these new signings and no doubt most of the rest that will come in so until we are 10 games in and I've seen them I can't really comment.

What I do know though is that graham and Johnson were absolutely shocking transfers in terms of value and if I was short I'd be doing something similar

2 completely different cases - Johnson is a very good player who under performed partly because of the rubbish he was surrounded by and how deep he was receiving the ball and how much chasing about he had to do.

Graham is garbage, full stop.

i believe AJ will be a key player for us next season

Agree with this Johnson although not as great as people thought he was when we signed him is still a very good player. Get more quality in and around him, move him 10-15 yards up the pitch and he ll be our best player next season. Showed signs of what he could do late on last season. It's the mentality that MON installed in the team that needs changing. The rot had set in and a big change in playing staff will see it slowly go.

I would flog Graham it's never going to happen for him here. It's not like we create massive amounts of chances, but he has missed some sitters. His confidence is shot, and for some he won't ever be accepted here. He needed to score early on which he could nt do.

Totally agree that Uncle Ellis had to try something like this. It's by far our best chance at moving forward, and it's bloody great to see us taking a progressive approach for once. As much as anything it's refreshingly interesting - it seems like a dream after the zombie like stumble that was last season.

I worry about the manager, loose cannon.

More of a loose cannon than Keane?
More detached from the reality of the modern game than MON?
More full of dreary excuses than Bruce?

FFS, these people who just can't wait for PDC to blow up and have a meltdown
