I hate sacking manager...but I would peddle him

Utter rubbish - we are where we are because we sack managers every 5 mins.

Utter rubbish, we're were we are due to poor signings season after season. The sacking of managers is a response to that. Get a good one in capable of doing something and it would look after itself if we got the recruitment a bit better.

This season we're in this position largely because the manager sees fit to play the most unbalanced, ill disciplined Premier League team there's ever been week after week without really trying to address it.

it would make no difference whether we sacked Dick or not. IMO we are fucked anyway.

I'm sick of changing managers every f***ing year.

I can't offer any solutions
Agree. Its all finally caught up with us.

I dont think changing manager again is the answer - the players are still the same whoever comes in and the penny pinching transfer approach will continue.

get Fat Sam in man - he's gagging to get back into management.
I never used to want him cos he plays boring football but nothing could be more boring than getting humped every week

Not sure he'd come. As a response who say it's all about the players - Fat Sam would be able to organise them and get results, even if it was a canny stale way of playing.

OP still hasn't suggested a viable alternative to Advocaat as manager.

Mate by saying that you're suggesting Advoccaat isn't making an absolute pigs ear of it. Even McCarthy's 15 pointers done better than this and were more organised.

I think people need to realise just how awful we are. Blame the players as long as you like, but the manager is failing to even organise them.

So you sack him or he leaves, then what? Also, that point about McCarthy's 15-pointers is completely wrong.

Personally, despite f***ing hating him, Allardyce would be a natural choice. He'd organise them, he'd probably keep us up, though it wouldn't be pretty as he's a proven manager and clearly better than Advocaat at working with limited resources at this level.

Other than him I don't know. But as I've already said, I think this is the most ill disciplined, unorganised Prermier League team I've seen. It's nowhere near the least talented. I don't think it would be hard to find someone who would at least stop us from looking an absolute shambles - Poyet mostly managed that. I quite liked Dick and wanted him to come back, but you can't just back people when they're failing and making woeful decisions each week.

It's very similar to Poyet's time here at the moment

What do you propose? It doesn't look like getting better any time soon and there's nowt for him to develop or see out as he's gone in the summer.

It's far too early to say that, especially given when the recruitment happened. We need to see how we do in the next few weeks to know if he's going in the right direction or not......west ham and the mags at home wither side of wba away is a much better gauge than the two manchester clubs in the space of a few days.

No it's not, it's completely different.

Poyet had them grinding out boring draws until the fans started their usual whinge. Now Advocaat is getting slated for not having the defensive set up right.

The fact is the recruitment is utter shite, regardless of who the manager is....why aren't we demanding Congerton be peddled?

The squad is better than this, bleat about recruitment all you want. It's still better than this tripe

As someone previously mentioned, there is no guarantee Allardyce would want to come (I severely doubt he'd want to work under our current model). So then we're back to square one of sacking a manager by October, saying the next one is git mint then sacking them the following autumn. Not defending Advocaat at all but I see zero point of sacking him.

that's the point!

Thought we played ok against a team that are light years ahead of us quality wise , the lads worked hard and apart from 3 lapses in concentration we are moving in the right direction , never even considered we would get a result today not sure what people on here expect
