I’m gonna call it.....Automatic Promotion.

Think it goes down to how we invest in January, one thing I like about Parkinson is he seems to have found his best 11 where Ross never really seemed too. If we pick up and need to rotate a lot, that’s where we’ll be tested imo.

Depends on how smart we are with recruitment. If we, for the first time ever, actually buy players that are suited to this system and can drop into the team without having to change formation and maintain the energy levels that the current first 11 have, then it should be well within our grasp now. Nobody will want to play us now, its up to us to go and attempt to win every single game

Hope so.

However a part of me would love to win at Wembley and be promoted....that would be an amazing feeling vs the feeling of comfortably finishing top 2.

Winning the playoffs is undoubtedly the best way for fans to go up. However we have approximately a 0% chance of winning at Wembley.

We will go up this season without a Wembley appearance. Book mark this if you so wish.
Gerrin and I think you are reet.
Fuck wembley and a chavs weekend at CG or TS lets gan up man.
We are peaking, rivals are Ipswich and I reckon Pompey will be up there as well

If we keep the 11 players fit who played against wycombe for the rest of the season and maintain the wycombe performance we willwalk into the championship!I will give you my prediction on the 1st February when we know what donald has done with our squad in the window.

It's looking more promising than a month ago but one swallow doesn't make a spring. I think a lot of people are getting ahead of themselves a bit. There' be at least one more "#DonaldOut" campaign before the end of the season.

We'd just won 3 in 4 when you posted that, your analogy doesn't work.

I admit that ranks as one of the best SAFC performances I have ever seen, probably in our history, and you have to wonder on the back of a performance like that how much better we can get and whether or not we are close to reaching our peak because we know what the average performance is like so to go from one of them to one like we saw yesterday is a massive leap. One of the biggest leaps in performance we have ever seen. One of the biggest at any club. You can't not think "is this the best we can get?"

With that said it is only Magnificent Performance #1. To convince me we are close to becoming material that is possible to get promotion out of one of the toughest leagues I have know we have to put in performances like that week in week out. Every week has to be a 3-1 or 4-0 against everyone. We simply cannot lose another game this season. Draws are good if other results go in our favour. If we can do that then calling Sunderland AFC a team capable of getting promotion isn't such a ridiculous idea. We give ourselves a fair chance of somehow doing the impossible and get promotion.

Just 16? Gonna have to be more around 18 or 19.

I agree whole heartedly with this. The 3 - 0 and 4 - 1 against Chelsea, any of the cup matches in 73 pale into insignificance compared to this.

Will come down to how we do in the next 8 days and if we get players in who will improve us. Sounds like we are struggling or skint but we need back up,
We look fitter and sharper thanks to new coach but any injury to Hume or Gooch will seriously de-rail us so we need a bit of luck with injuries too.

If things continue we will be in top two with Rotherham but Feb is massive with tough games against Oxford, Pompey, Cov (now 1 March), Ipswich - come through them and then we are laughing.

Cant really buy that were “skint” since all clubs at this level have major financial problems, much worse than ours in 99% of cases, yet they manage just fine to recruit players. We need to stop blaming things like this and start taking a proper look at the recruitment setup which is not fit for purpose whatsoever

Backed Rotheram as champions at start of season. Not seen a Third Division game this season but nothing in current league table standings suggests a change of mind.
