anti- allergenic cats........

if that's the right phrase -Is there such a thing? My wife wants a cat but I hate the mangey little fuckers - i think I am allergic to them - they make my eyes itch and I sneeze like a bastard. Any ideas?

aye them hairless ones
they need a lot more love and attention though because they're fully aware of how f***ing vile they look

I grew up with a cat then once I left home I didn't have one for about 7 or 8 years. Moved in with my lass at the time who had a cat and got the itchy eyes but it passes after a couple of weeks. Once that one died we got another about a year later and the same happened. I think you just build up a tolerance eventually.

Fuck me they are one ugly looking cat - I'd rather have the itching and sneezing than have to look at that all day.

cats are shit. put your foot down and tell her shes not getting a cat.

I investigated hypo allergenic breeds for our lass's family. They were all ugly hairless feckers except for one that looked relatively normal. Same with the cats.

It turns out it's not the hair that most people are actually allergic to, it's summat in the saliva. Hair only enters into it because they lick themselves, then shed the slavvery hair. The normal looking breed was fairly unique because it doesn't have the stuff in its saliva to start with, so its hair isn't an issue.

Can't remember the name of the breed but I bookmarked it somewhere and will try to find it. I think it was something eastern European or Russian sounding.

The one I was referring to was the Siberian cat.

Relatively normal looking, and lower in the allergenic protein than your average moggie,

And cheers for the bump Waxon!

I've been looking them up too as I'm allergic but Mr Smith loves them. There are a few breeds around but it must be a matter of meeting them and see what they do to you.

Alfie My Hungarian Viszla has only one coat of hair or summat and as such are less allergenic.

They're dogs though, soz.

we've had a cat for years, one day it went for a walk, and never came back
