Hybrid, road or other bike

wondering if anyone here has any experience in this, I’m looking to buy a bike to use for commuting. I’ll be travelling about 10 miles per day on mainly flat roads. My initial thought was a flat bar hybrid but I’ve done a bit reading and people are saying that’s too far a distance on a flat bar. So then I’ve looked at a 15 - Cycling - Triban RC 500 Road Bike Black (or similar) does anyone have any advice? Thanks
 


Will you be just on the roads? Any off road? Got a cannondale cx3 a few months back and love it, but you can get them without suspension which are lighter still.

I’d imagine I’ll just be on the roads pretty much all the time. I’ll have a look at that, thanks.
