Hume Being Watched By Burnley Apparently

His form duped at the end of last season, so it’s not just the tactics, though I don’t think they help

There's likely a combination of reasons.

One of the things that people often forget with young players is that often they come in and impress and then there's an expectation to improve and become more consistent as well. Many struggle second season and often struggle for consistency when quite young.

It also doesn't help that he's being asked to move central at times, to left back and he's generally playing alongside a utility player - the experience and knowledge someone like Batth leaving has shorn us of shouldn't be underestimated.

Not at all people only like him because he’s a hard tackler I’ve never even seen him run with the ball up the wing he’s massively overrated
You’re describing a winger.

He’s literally being asked to drift into midfield, of course he isn’t going to be running up the wing and overlapping.

He was doing it last season and put in some fantastic crosses.

He’s put in some poor displays this season as has everyone else, however the head coach is the one to blame for the change in tactics and way of play,

He’s a young player getting a good run of games ( loves it here ) and like most “ new “ players will have ups and downs in form .
He’s been a part of us doing well since our promotion…hopefully gets the winner v the Mags !

I’m not saying the coach isn’t to blame however as a full back you need to be making up yards with the ball which will automatically push your winger higher up the pitch roberts is having to dribble past people all the way from the right back position , humes getting the ball and just passing it 5 yards and square to a centre back the modern full back should be making up the most yards on the pitch

What do people feel are his stand out attributes? To me he's busy and puts a strong tackle in. I'm not sure he's great on the ball and I worry when a tricky winger is up against him.
He’s got a really good pass accuracy but I don’t think he’d beat a man, nor have I seen many brilliant crosses.

Solid defensive rb for me

Good player hume who we got for next to nowt. Selling him for good money and him getting time in the premier league is probably good for everyone.

Not even him sadly
He can do it. He’s done it really well at times. Think people forget he’s 21 and wasn’t even playing regularly for us till January. He’s a good player. They’re mostly all decent players. Just hit a bad bit of form.

Lately when Hume has been wide right he's just making lazy backpasses to Luke. He's lost a bit of his spark.
Trippier disease you could call it.

Sure he could but all the players look lost.
