Hume Being Watched By Burnley Apparently

Hard being right back then latterly last season centre back then right back drifting into centre mid then left back then right back etc etc....on it goes....Hume has tried his best but the lack of continuity for him cannot be conducive to maintaining good form....to me he is a real talent whose versatility has hampered his performances of late

He’s played that roaming role since he’s been in the side bar the last few games of the run in when he had to play CB

Recent results does not hide the fact we’ve got some quality players with potential in our squad

So I know how high Humes ceiling is? No.

But I can tell he’s a player

I'd say he's a natural defender, until recently he's been positionally sound, particularly at centre back, he's headed a few off the line, made some cracking last ditch tackles but he does need to work on the way he "approaches" his marking out wide. He can head the ball. He's combative, Joe Bolton like in his willingness to put tackles in, loves a battle, enjoys it. He can cross a ball, has a shot on him, he can power down the wing as and when required and isn't massively lacking in ball skills and touch, remember how well he combined in tight areas playing triangles with Amad and Pat. He's a tad upright at times which means he gets turned now and again but then so does Cirkin.

£200k though, a f***ing snip. :)

I’m not sure you can accuse Hume of lack of effort mind

I still think he should be utilised just as a fullback, of which he is a good one.
I can if that is what it is mate, on Wednesday for example he just watched as 3 or 4 players surrounded Clarke, he didn't move in to space or offer an option for him, just stood there. I like the lad and earlier in the season he was pulling up trees like a lot of other players, he just looks fed up and has lost the energy he had, he needs to knuckle down and give his all for the team.

He would be back in the championship next season….
