Humble pie on the menu?

If he plays well and consistently, even at this lower level, then that is a great boost for the club. But i don't think people who have been critical over the last few season need to be served up humble pie..they were critical for a good reason. As for anyone who 'hates' Sunderland players..well other than Mags and crazy people..how can you do that? Dislike attitude, don't think they are up to it etc etc..but actually hate ..come on.

Not a Cattermole hater, but, I have criticised him when he's been shite... first half the other day, shite, second half - very good. Today - very good all game.

Christ! He shouldn’t be judged on goals scored. How many had Busquets got for Barcelona? He must be f***ing awful

He's been here donkeys years mate and has chipped in with next to none. As for the Busquets comparison I'm being whooshed aren't I?

People haven’t read the situation regarding Cattermole very well imo. “Finished”. “Legs completely gone” etc. At 29 neither of those scenarios were the likely reason for his poor form. In my opinion it was down to piss poor management and the awful losing momentum and negativity which affected EVERY player.

If nowt else his good form might alert a buyer for those that won’t forgive and for those that have we can enjoy his resurrection in form while he’s here.
He had a few good games, he is at the level that suits him at his time of life

For the Cattermole haters. Superb today. Will be a major asset alongside Power for us this season.

FGS man, it the turd, sorry third tier. If he (and plenty of others) had put some effort we would not be even in this absolute shite league.

We beat (sorry, scraped by all accounts) another absolutely tiny club, big f***ing deal. NOT.

Don’t quite get this “found his level” stuff. The assumption on here was that he wasn’t fit enough to compete...his legs had gone. Is the game at L1 level populated solely by players with no pace? Of course it’s not...there’s plenty of pace and physicality (as evidenced today). Cattermole is fit enough to compete with them BUT technically better than the majority of his opponents. The other half of the equation is a manager who really believes in him.

It’s not him as a player, it’s the f***ing wage he’s taking from playing in this league amongst players arguably the same ability as him who are on peanuts in comparison

But yeah, he’s been playing well, no doubting that

I posted during the match thread that the whole Wimbledon starting X1 were probably on less than him....but it is what it is...that can’t be changed. Either offload him or play him and enjoy his match winning contributions.

He's certainly. not finished. Wouldnt be featuring in the championship but he's one of the better players in this division.

Injuries man, he’s just not mobile due to all the batterings his body has taken, not his fault, it happens.

If we could have got rid we would have in the summer.

So no credit then for winning us the game?

I’ve got no strong opinions either way, it’s not a case of me hating the bloke, be odd for a Sunderland supporter to not give credit to our own players who play well.

I want them all to play well and if he has a good game then that’s great for us.
