Cattermole looked good today.
If we can afford him we should keep him. Maybe he responds to Ross's training methods or maybe he isn't spending as much time on the piss.

the haters need to see him punished mate, gonna take a lot more than a few decent performances to sate their appetite for his destruction imo. hope he keeps producing the goods and jr is faced with a selection dilemma there mate

He’s finished, one good half doesn’t excuse the last 3-4 years.

Even a broken clock is right twice a day.

This simile is shite, if a clock is broken then how can it tell the time, "twice a day",........ yes, it points to a time, but no it's broke so it ain't right.....what it is - is broken! While he is giving good games or parts of games then he ain't broken either.

With the support around him he is doing well. Each good game he has put him in the shop window and also does the team well and puts him in the shop window for loans or for sale in January. Lets give him the support to achieve both the team and

his own objectives, if it is to our benefit.

Luckily Jack Ross is making the calls and doing well at the moment, if he feels he cannot do a job then he will be benched or left out of the squad. Let's leave it to those who manage well, till at least January before we hear all the shite, at the moment he

is an asset, who today helped us win a game...........Just relax and enjoy the feelgood at least till tomorrow, then try some better similies, I like a good simile, unfortunately that one, is not one of them!

For the Cattermole haters. Superb today. Will be a major asset alongside Power for us this season.

Superb? Jesus wept.
He did the bare minimum expected, the game on the whole passes him by now, it has for some time. Even for the role he plays, and the level we're playing at, he is still noticeably the unfittest player on the pitch, has the turning circle of an oil tanker (whilst we lose momentum) and he makes a redundant pass.
Red in the face with exhaustion and pointing will be my abiding memories of seeing him live in the past few days.

Baffling how people can still defend him man

Mind I did think he was class today. (Hopefully long may it continue)

Used to love him me

I thought he was good today mind.

A lot would agree, seemed to have the most votes for man of the match on the other thread.

His first two passes sailed out of play ten yards from the intended target.

Looking at Bordeaux today and it seems like Gus is our best bet. If he’s allowed back.
And ? I’ve seen iniesta pass the ball straight out of play!!

Where to start with this claptrap.

I am totally relaxed and trust the manager to make the right calls, you used an awful lot of words to say not a lot tbh

He was good for Poyet advocaat and allardyce.

He needs an excuse for the last 2 years, no more.

Yeah alright agree with that, I think the fact we can't shift him on says to me that clubs are aware of his injury issues.

I'll help you.

Your definition of superb and mine are clearly very, very different.

It’s at a low level I accept but he bossed the game today. Captain in all but name. Honestly marra if you couldn’t see that then I can only assume your prejudice is clouding your judgement.

Listened to the match On SAFSEE, driving home from family down south, this afternoon, and it didn't sound like he put a foot wrong to me, Alfred. Every pass he made, reached one of our lads. The biggest apparent thing was how few times, Honeyman's name was mentioned apart from a 15 minute spell in the second half. Can't really make a constructive judgement without seeing the game, but I picked up on this. Sounded like a great team performance tho. Everyone wanting to be involved and playing for SAFC.

Can’t really see what all the fuss is about here. If he stays and has decent players around him who have a bit of energy and commitment (unlike the last few year), then we have a decent squad player on our hands. If someone comes in for him and he leaves than we get his wages off the wage bill.

Obviously we shouldn’t be paying high wages in this division, but that’s hardly the players fault. It’ll be a long season and we need a squad of above average players to get out of this division. Just enjoy the season and let personal grievances go for now, been a while since we had the chance to enjoy going to games.

It's a simple equation for me. Can we get promoted without Cattermole ?
Yes we can. Therefore all efforts must be exhausted to move him on. At £40k a week he's the equivalent of 7 or 8 players minimum at this level. £6 million extra revenue if we are promoted. 1/3 of that will have gone on Catts wages before we start. He'll be a year older and even less likely to be an attractive buy/loan for a club.
