Humble pie on the menu?

This is typical of the Cattermole fan club. He costs us 2 points against Luton but the has a decent 45 minutes so the critics are wrong.

Some Sunderland fans love a shite player.

Quite funny seeing who started this thread after the incessant whinging all summer and writing off of anybody we signed.

Just think how humble the pie will be for those who suggested we were toothless up front.

Agree about Catts on pure ability. However his wage can’t be ignored and he still needs to be moved. Not at all costs, but if we could find a way to get completely clear of him we should jump at the chance.

.. He done well. Does come with a healthy price tag for this league though ..

Depends how we look at it though mate. It’s highly unlikely we could sell him or even loan him and have all his wages paid, so the equation could be like this....keep him all season and hope his partnership with Power can spark an immediate return to the Championship and the £6m minimum extra revenue it generates...and potentially have decent CM options in the Championship.

He played well against sheff wed
His first two passes sailed out of play ten yards from the intended target.

For another few months we can though....and if he maintains this firm we may be able to actually move him on without subsidising his wages .
Looking at Bordeaux today and it seems like Gus is our best bet. If he’s allowed back.
