Mate. You're missing my point

By waiting they could have looked like heros or idiots

He didn't sign. They look like idiots

Do you need a diagram?
No by waiting they looked like idiots. Turning down the chance to have a class midfielder for the first half of a season, for 7million, is inexcusable to me.

And to then spunk double that on an unproven kid who may be good in 2 years time was idiotic.

I cant see how they could be praised even of he signed on a free on Jan 1st with us nailed on for relegation. You need to start the season as strong as possible in my opinion.

We would have signed him for 10million on June 1st if i was in charge. If it went tits up we could sell him for the same amount based on his proven ability. With Ndong we will end up with next to nothing.

It's amazing how many people try to justify how the club dealt with this.

Even Boro have signed two new forwards. We are at the start of the death of the club. The sad thing is in five years we will look back at this time as the good times

this place would be in meltdown if we signed gestede and bamford has failed to make an impact at three clubs in the premier league

Why? The bloke didn't want to come here.

Flew into Heathrow on deadline day waiting for the call. Updating via snaochat the entire day, the bloke was gutted.

The £20m+ we spent on Papy and NDong should have went towards this fella and his wages, fact. And there would have been change.

The death of the club :lol:

TBF mate I don't think it'll be the death of the club but I think people seriously underestimate how much trouble we could be in. If we go down this season and don't come straight back up we need to come to terms with the fact that we will be owing back over £7m in interest per year in loans, as well as having £80m(+?) (it was £80m last accounts, presumably we'll see in may this figure is nearer £100m) due back over the next 2 or 3 years.

Where are we going to find the £80m (minimum) to pay back those loans in the championship? The sale of players would probably be enough to cover the cost of relegation but it sure as hell won't pay off that debt. We then still, of course owe about £60m to Short. And then we appear to owe another £30m or so (roughly) which is owed in instalments for player transfers etc. to other clubs.

We will go down still paying off our signing from the last year or two or three, with huge debt due for repayment soon and high interest rates. Administration would be more than possible. We won't "die" but the mismanagement of the club could take a decade to correct.

They have identified a weakness and tried to fix it.

We can barely put out an 11 and have signed lescott!!

I would take bamford and gestede in a heartbeat looking at our team.

Are we never getting promoted again?

We didn't have a state of the art training ground or a 48000 seater stadium with a guaranteed income stream from external sources for the next 4 years.
The guaranteed income you quote will be at a far lower level if we go down. A half empty stadium to go with it.

Debt still remains.

Head out of sand.
