Not going to deny his form dipped, but people have majorly unrealistic standards on how they judge an effective player.
Given the midfielders we've watched over the last 5 years I can't understand when people dismiss him as ordinary because he had a "dip in form", which, incidentally came when Kirchhoff started to show his class and was getting all the plaudits. He's still streets ahead of Larson, Colback, Gomez, Rodwell, Gardner, Bridcutt and all the other one-paced battlers we seem intent on packing the midfield with.

Kirchoff also took Mvila's position as defensive midfielder, pushing him into an unfamiliar position where he had to play a different game.

As I said at the time. The club were going to look brilliant or idiots with the way we played it. We refused to pay the money. He pulled out

We looked like idiots
Disagree, they could have come out and said..."we know he is out of contract in 6 months but we needed to take the opportunity now to get a class player for 7million. It is too big a risk to wait 6 months and hope he won't have better options then"

No one would criticise the club for that.

Exactly

The would have looked brilliant getting him for nowt
Or looked idiots for missing out altogether

Or they could have just bought him

Unlike you to miss the point like

Not only was he an excellent player, he was by all accounts a very positive influence around the club who cared about us and wanted to sign. We fucked him over and unsurprisingly he didn't want to sign then. No-one to blame for this but Ellisezer Shroogt.

Fuck off Hull

Great things are happening!

Still waiting...
Great?! Only great!?

I, for one, would say something special is happening at this club!

Hardly looks brilliant when we are bottom of the league come Jan 1st. He could have contributed to us being in a better position after the first 19 games? Worth a lot more than 7million pounds in my eyes....you fail to see the bigger picture yet again.

Mate. You're missing my point

By waiting they could have looked like heros or idiots

He didn't sign. They look like idiots

Do you need a diagram?

To be fair to the hat lad, it goes to show how Short pulls the wool over folks eyes.
