I think you can't just ditch it, you have to look at it properly, see where you went wrong and fix it. What you can't do is wallow in it. Sort it out monday morning and go from there.

Interesting that Hughton cited a "certain team's" next 3 results after a 5-1 defeat as an inspiration to his team, adding a comment about how well they had played at Chelsea.

Bet that went down well among the fans.

f***ing hell.

Not even Keegan would have come out with something like that.

He deffo said it. Just listened to their podcast and it doesn't appear to be included in his interview at the end. Mind I couldn't face listening to it all again.

The last thing those fuckers want is to be told to emulate us. Brilliant. Gotta love Hughton - the pressure is well and truly back on especially after embarrassing himself in how he defended Bartons punch.

Ian Wright recently stated that the contract talks with Hughton were a disgrace ............ I'm sure there are many Mags who'll agree with that tonight ..... the bedsheets will be out for Christmas

I would agree along with them tbf. If they get rid of Hughton Ashley should rightly be found hanging from the tyne bridge.

After all the stunts he's got away with I doubt that'll happen.

The clip has been played a few times on Radio Newcastle this morning. I can't see them being happy to here that.

His job must be hanging by a thread.
What do you think? You're the expert!

Wonder if Newcastle get the result rammed down their throats for three weeks my the media like another team did

We wouldn't have if our 5-1 was against Bolton. We would have had a bit more stick but that's because we should be doing better than a newly promoted team with a paper thin squad
