How you ganna cook yer Turkey?

Brined overnight. On the morning whack some herbs in, slather it with butter and cook covered for about an hour on a trivet of veg. Remove the foil cover, put some streaky bacon over the top and cook for about another hour. Rest for a couple of hours while everything else cooks. Love turkey me.

Don't forget the cranberry sauce, like.
And the pigs in blankets.
And add some crispy lardons with your Brussels, it really improves them.

I’ve got 2 veggies coming this year so everything (other than the meat) has to be meat free so no bacon on the sprouts and the roasties are being done in olive oil instead of goose fat!

Asda have knocked down the price of their beef joints (£8-£9) and their gammon joints are only a tenner (smoked or unsmoked)

this, combined with bags of carrots / parsnips / Brussels and Broccoloi all for 20p, you can't go wrong.
