My Mam was on about adding stem ginger and cooking it in ginger beer but I can't remember if that was for the turkey or the gammon.

I love ginger though so I'll be happy with that

Sounds like gammon.

Ginger is the spice of the gods. The holy trinity along with chili and garlic. Hell I feel a midnight stir fry coming on.

If you salt your meat before you put it in the oven surely all meat is brine basted anyway?

Soak in salted water for three days . Four hours at 150 degrees . A further 6 hours at 200 degrees . Stand for an hour . Throw in bin .
