Looking ahead to the next game in a week.

It is a must not lose game but has anybody else thought about this.

It just occurred to me Wycombe will have motivation either way.

If Ainsworth does not get the job he will have his team wound up even more. He will want to give out a roasting to show how good his management is.

If he does get the job those same players and staff will want to turn on a performance.

For some reason I just thought of Norwich doing Everton over when Mike Walker changed teams.

Mike Walker used to live opposite me.

Mike Walker is a good example of a manager who, when he was at Norwich, the club as a whole was ticking along really nicely and the footballing world made the assumption that Mike Walker must be the reason so he must be a top manager.

He went to Everton and he literally didn’t have a clue.

We need to avoid pulling a manager out of a club where he’s had his only success and discovering that he’s only a small part of that success.

I think Mark Robbins is aware of this too. Sometimes, better the devil you know.

Didn’t he once beat Bayern Munich in the UEFA cup? Jeremy Goss.
