As hes on loan who gives a flying fuck as its irrelevant............

Bar the fact hes a damm sight better than Lovenkrands/Best and the Ameoba twins................

Mind so is me nana and she died in 1945..............

She was the only girl I've ever loved

Re: Gutted it is a loan.

22 for Arsenal in 40 starts and 58 sub appearances. A goal every 200 minutes spent on the pitch for the past two seasons in the top flight

And not all of those played as a striker.

I think he'll be a very good signing for us, providing we play him as a striker and not on the left.

Re: Gutted it is a loan.

Erm says who??

Of course you can................
So if you set aside for arguments sake £10m for next season to maybe buy Bendtner then decide not to buy him you have £10m for someone else, ortherwise you have £10m less for other players. No?

Re: Gutted it is a loan.

you can't take somebody on loan with no financial commitment to buy...buy next summer and it not have an effect on your overall budget that pre-season.

you said we will have a fight to get him if he does well

so if we buy him next season whats the problem, if he does shite we dont have to buy, we have an option

If we have an option to sign him I don't have a problem but I haven't seen anything confirmed we have an option to sign him.

Re: Brilliant, so how far have we come.........

you lot are a bunch of f***ing lemmings!

the lad we have signed is a good player, in his own head!!

Harrods?

Marquee?

Bollocks!!

11 players signed and none of the obvious problems solved.......job done eh!

IMHO this season will be a struggle to avoid relegation.....

for me it just the same old f***ing story.....mediocrity at the best.

ITHICS!

Only one striker and no physical presence up front - we sign 3 big strikers

Poor defence and not enough experience - we sign 2 very good defenders who have more medals than almost everyone else in the division.

Poor set pieces, and a lack of a right midfielder - Larsson

No goals from midfield - 10 goal Gardner

Replacing Henderson's role of getting on the ball - Vaughan

Needed another goalkeeper - Westwood

Now I'm not a footballing genius, but those were all pretty obvious problems that we had, to me anyway. So I think we have definitely solved a few.

so we dont have to set money aside then next season

If anything we have time to sign someone better

Who cares............if we finish as high as we can he might want to or he might have proven hes at a better level than us haven taken us as far as can finish........................

If hes here for a season its not a great deal less time then Bent was.............

Perspective mate and you more than most should appreciate that in the modern game.................

I'm not complaining about the deal. I'm happy with the loan. His attitude was too big a risk for the money Arsenal would have wanted.

I was just pointing out that even if we had a clause in the contract to sign him permanently then it was no guarantee he would agree to it, especially if he'd had a good season. These loan-to-permanent deals usually require the player to agree to it either now, or more often once the club takes up the option at the end of the loan. I don't think he would agree to either.

It totally depends on the budget of the company concerned and as you have fuck all clue as to what it is then your posts are as most of your late night ones on here have been are as relevant as a beef farmer trying to export his wares to Jerusalem..............

 We will have to get it from somewhere in next seasons budget if we want to sign him! An option isn't an obligation!

If he does well then he is a commitment out of next seasons budget which cannot possibly be known at the moment given we don't know where we will finish, who our manager will be, who our sponser will be, how the club will be percieved.

Add Bendtner if he does do well might not even want to be here. It's just uncertaintey.

We have no idea a permanent deal was even on the cards at this late point in proceedings do we.........

Your entire reasoning is based on guess work so its a bit pointless drawing conclusions when the only thing set in stone is hes agreed a loan for the season tonight............

Don't try and tell me our clubs budget is already formed for January or next summer as you know that is 100% bollocks given how many variables are involved. If we want to sign Bendtner it will come out of next seasons budget.

And regardless of what size it is signing somebody like Bendtner will have an effect on it I don't know why your going to such lengths to deny it? Let alone think of some pointless metaphor..

IF we could have signed him now i'd have preffered it. That's all I am saying, still glad we have him on a loan rather than not at all.

Re: Gutted it is a loan.

i don't think he's started 140 PL games in 5 years at all

He hasn't, that is his career total including 42 games for Birmingham in the Championship. In the Premier League his record is more like 22 goals in 99 appearances (not starts).

I think you have your wires crossed. I didn't say it was. I was replying to the person who said we should have put one in. I was merely pointing out that even if we did, it wouldnt really mean much.

And if you had any clue at all about such an industry you might grasp the fact that such things are never set in stone especially in such an industry with such volatility and assets that change in both value and availability at the drop of a hat............

You've just done a short course in business and budgets havent you.............
