How many on here only work Monday to Friday?

mon fri 9-5 now. Think I can change my hours but happy with what I’m doing. Used to have to work every other Saturday 9-1. Didn’t massively mind the Saturday work but it did depend on the job I was doing.

Where I work we've gone from working 1 weekend in every 3 to either a Saturday or Sunday every f***ing weekend. Expecting us to work more days and not get a suitable amount of staff to help cover it.

last time i wotked a weekend was about 18 years ago doing about 3 hours on a saturday morning. only did it to help the boss out as he's a decent bloke but that's 3 hours i'll never get back.

I work all different patterns depending on flight schedule. So this weekend at home, next weekend I am in Europe for 4 days. So Monday to Friday I have never experienced

Probables about 30% work on weekends. Most folk are office hours, even those that shit in a bucket.

Just been into town to run a couple of errands. Always amazes me how many peoe are out and about during the working day if so many people are supposed to be working 9-5.

On perm nights. Work Monday, Thursday and Sunday. Absolutely love it, feel like I still get a weekend and works out well for childcare.

Have worked mon- Fri in the past for around 6 months and hated it. Felt like I was never away from work and the weekends seemed to go faster.

I changed my hours a few weeks back to have every weekend off. Before that, I worked most Saturdays and Sundays and took random days off throughout the week, sometimes just working all the way through.

However, I now realise how nice it feels to leave work on a Friday night and not have to think about it again until Monday morning. Weekend bliss. I wish I'd done it years ago!

I do now. After 3 years in Japan working 6 days a week, and 7 years in Kazakhstan doing 7 days a week.
Football starts at 6am here so, by lunchtime, i am at a loose end and more often than not log-in and work!!!

Mon-fri 8 till 4
I used to try to work 8-4, especially when the kids were really small. I think for most of that I didn't have a dog, so didn't have the morning walk to do and it was easier to get in. I often do 8:30-4:30. Especially when working from home it is great. I'm looking at the clock thinking it is not worth starting something new. A quick check of the SMB, shutdown my laptop and I'm done for the weekend. Free to do what I like.

When I was not working from home and finished at 4, home by 4:30 and had a good couple of hours with the kids before tea. Far better than working until 5:30.

I think I'm going to go absolutely nuts with my free time and nip up to B&Q for a pot of wood filler. I know, look at me, look at me etc.

Have worked Monday-Thursday for the last 5 year and the flexi/3 day weekend are pretty much the only reasons I haven't jacked my current job in.

Mine were 4 straight days, 4 off, 4 nights, 4 off.
Yeah, you did have runs where you worked weekends one after the other, but then you also had the opposite of course. Coming off 2 nights every time would have annoyed me though, being knackered for 2 days out of 4 days off every pattern isn't fair imo.
Ok, I was MORE tired coming off 4 nights in a row, but that was every other shift pattern, so from coming off days at 7pm, until going on nights actually 5 days later was great, 4 clear days off to do whatever I wanted. Plus, 4 days of leave (for the nights) gets you 12 days off!
The midnight sweats on that first night shift was brutal.
Then going to bed after your last night shift for a few hours so you could turn your body clock back round
Horrible

I'm always busy at weekends but haven't done paid work since I worked at Archibalds on Gilesgate roundabout 1991-94.

I have a contract for this calendar year with my primary client. The pot of days when spread over the year means it's around 2.5 to 3 days per week. I occasionally pick up little bits of other work here and there.

The remainder I do non-paid work on a couple of community projects, and I am developing a product to sell from (hopefully) next year and onwards.

It's a fantastic work/life balance but I'm under no allusions it could end in December and I'll need to find a proper job to pay the mortgage.
