How many on here only work Monday to Friday?

Prefer to stick to Mon-Fri but occasionally take on weekend work especially in peak retail times like the run up to Christmas. I'm working next Saturday morning as a store is getting two new beauty stands installed overnight. I'm going in early morning to dress the stands and put all the stock back on before the shop opens.

I’m Monday to Friday and absolutely love it being a sports fan.
I changed my hours a few weeks back to have every weekend off. Before that, I worked most Saturdays and Sundays and took random days off throughout the week, sometimes just working all the way through.

However, I now realise how nice it feels to leave work on a Friday night and not have to think about it again until Monday morning. Weekend bliss. I wish I'd done it years ago!
That Friday feeling is class isn’t it 😊

Worked in factories for over 20 years as a youngun on every shift going. Best one for me was day shift with weekend off - just felt more natural and made you appreciate the weekend more.

Worked all sorts of hours and rarely got a weekend off in the kitchens, split shifts, Christmas day, Bank Holidays, awful hours but great job.
Mon-Thurs for me now and love it. 3 day weekend and still don't know where it's gone when Monday comes around again.

I know times have changed but i thought everyone did unless you were chasing every dollar available or were working somewhere you'd rather not
very occasional hald day saturday otherwise bog std monday top friday

I imagine most do mon/Fri unless in retail or manufacturing linked to Nissan
That covers a massive area, especially retail. You could also add public transport, maintenance and haulage to list. Infact I would say Monday to a Friday is pretty rare.

Always worked Monday to Friday, unless you count a pub job when I was a student. Can’t imagine not being free at weekends. I might look at dropping every other Friday in a year or two though,

Fair point
Still think majority of people work mon - Fri . Prob 70/30 I reckon .
I’ll do odd weekend only at certain time of year and only as Under pressure and no help colleagues , if can avoid it I will

Agree with that. Emergency services, hospital workers, entertainment, hospitality and service industry. I'd say most jobs now require shifts or some sort of weekend working.

I would say more 30/70 ignoring the old school. The world has changed from having Sunday as a day of rest.

I work condensed hours full time Monday to Thursday then I have the kids on the Friday. That'll be ending in the next 2 years as they start school; one in September and the other the following year. I'll still probably stick with the 4 day week though as quite enjoy having a 3 day weekend.

There must be just as many people working weekends.
How are we able to do stuff at weekends if nobody could facilitate that?

Yeah, Mon-Fri here.
Until a year ago, I'd work a few hours 2 Sunday mornings each month for double time.

A while back I did 4 on 4 off days/nights, and while they were quite knackering, I loved having 4 clear days between shifts. I could do alsorts.
I feel like I miss that, but I think if I went back to it, I'd hate it now.

Worked Monday to Friday for over 40 years. Started a new job in January, Tuesday to Thursday. I have a 4 day weekend now. Love it. Time to do plenty of good stuff, more time to unwind.
A 3 day week is the way forward, I try to stick to that. It helps being an old bugger approaching retirement

Mostly always have been Monday to Friday.
Used to have to work some weekends for big software releases but that's all changed now.
Might do a bit on a Sunday night to get sorted for the week if I'm busy but generally no need.

Did that shift for 7 years
2 days then 2 nights then 4 off.
Hated the fact most weekends were affected by this. Especially the summer …Saturday night , people are having BBQ’s and you heading into work ☹️
