How long until fans turn on Poyet?

How is the manager responsible for individual errors? Tough job when you don't have the players

He's been here over a year, he's had two windows to strengthen the squad. His summer signings, bar perhaps Rodwell, were an absolute joke.
If he'd managed to keep Ki and Borini, or sign reasonable replacements, we'd be in a much better position than we are now. We are, at least as an attacking force, far worse than last season. That in itself is a good enough reason to have serious doubts over his abilities.

Any manager who takes a club backwards doesn't last long, and why should he? He had no plan B in the transfer window, has no plan B tactically, and now he's wriggling and spouting lame excuses, deflecting the blame. All the signs of a dead man walking.

He'll be gone soon.

Its the players who should feel the heat and wrath......Bruces Losers....and we all know who they are....remain as the common denominator in the demise of the last 2 managers.....Poyet is heading at break-neck speed toward becoming the third
It's Bruce's fault!

Alright we've had 4 managers since and it's been 3 years, but aye, he was a Jawdee after all!

Insightful stuff

How the fuck is Poyet to blame for two mistakes on the pitch? Did he have a remote control in his hand in the technical area controlling Brown or Vergini/Vito? Get a grip lad.

Here's a wild thought - give him time and money to see what he can do.

And no, he hasn't had enough time yet, considering most of the squad jumped ship in the summer. He's had a pre-season and 9 league games with a full squad to play with. Most of those 9 games weren't all that bad. Played well, defended well but just couldn't score which was due to naivety in the transfer window with putting all his eggs in one basket. I'm sure things will get better and he won't be as daft in the next two transfer windows. And now after one total disgraceful and embarrassing game and a game where two mistakes cost us a point, people are blaming Poyet and calling for his head.

I didn't realise we'd turned into mags.

Time and money wont change his tactics, sounds like you're the one who needs to get a grip. I certainly didn't call for his head either princess.

I haven't read the rest of this thread but to answer the question in the title I'd suggest the fans are already turning at least on the SMB.

The amount of posts slagging him off has increased dramatically since even last week.

I am getting fed up of him now, however I am conscious of the need for stability at the club. I just think we got incredibly lucky last year, the escape wasn't down to Poyet's managerial talent.

The "football" served up so far this season has been utter dross, he blames the team's shortcomings on every one but himself and crucially we look like a worse team now than we did a year ago.

Without reading the rest of this thread I'd suggest many have turned already.

I think your missing my point....yes I do despise Bruce with a passion....nowt to do with him being a Geordie by the way, I'm one myself...but its his constant twining about 10th and his unhealthy obsession with us that hacks me off - that and the fact that he's a black & white bastard of course

My point is that 5 players from that era of failure remain in the squad now......how could we expect things to be different - Seemingly Poyet is the latest manager to fail to remove these abject failures

It's not Bruce's fault that subsequent managers still find the need to pick his players. And yes, 10th and 13th isn't failure, compared to what has followed.

Even if Gus doesn't pick up 9 points from the next 8 games (which I think he probably can) people will be less twitchy because we have 21 games of the season left, not 6. And if We do pick up 9 points from the next 8 games (Crystal Palace(a), Everton(h), Leicester(a), Chelsea(h), Man City(h), Liverpool(a), West Ham(h), Newcastle(a))
Amazingly we got 11 from those 8 games. :D

He's out of his depth. He practically had a breakdown last season and his tactical decisions (especially substitutions) have been abysmal.

The bloke wanted lynching after that cup game against Stoke imo. Never seen anything like it.
And the hull match last season

He's the best manager we've had for ages. Give him time.
Negative, boring shite. Another relegation battle looms. He should be getting far more out of fletcher, wickham, Johnson, Alvarez etc

I respectfully disagree. It was down to him that we survived last season. He deserves more time to progress the team.

We're in a better position now than when he first game in and we're 2 or 3 players away from having a good side. Shouldn't even be called into question at the moment.

Would love to see how many of these bed wetting fannies thought he was a genius last week as well.
