Some of our fans are absolute idiotic cockwombles.

I honestly think some do this just so they can say I told you so.
You may well think that, but perhaps it's more they just want the best for the club. It's always the ones who love him that start the name calling though isn't it?

Not at all, plenty on here have called poyet a prick and a bellend. Why? If you don't rate him fine, but why abuse?

Well I've never seen that, but I was talking more about the abuse of other fans. Such as yours. As you say, why abuse? You used it so you can answer.
By calling them idiot cockwombles?because that is how they go on. Everything is hyperbole and terrible, the atmosphere at the match is nowhere near this place, it's embarrassing. Other clubs looking at this board must cringe.

When O’Neill left he had 31 points from his last 31 games

When Bruce left he had 21 points from his last 27 games

Poyet has 22 points from his last 23 games.

Another 3 games without a win and the fans will start to turn imo. Hopefully Short will have learnt that hiring and firing makes little difference in the long term, and instead of spending on changing managers he should make money available for better players.
Poyet already starting to look else where with his comments in the echo about Pardew leaving really taking about himself..... My guess next summer or the year after....He is looking if Short does not make players available in the transfer window.... The Sunderland board need a shake up is also my thoughts.

Change of chairman
Who exactly does this?????

The reality is we'd well up shit creek without Ellis short. It's not like people lining up to purchase safc is it? There is some sort of delusion we have a Devine right to be in the premier. People's expectations are so high despite us spending much of the last 50 years outside the top flight and having won one trophy in that time. A reality check is in order. Incidentally our current run in the premier is the longest since its inception in the 90s.

Our fan base and income alone is enough to say we deserve to be in the top division! If leicester palace burnley HULL west brom are in there, a club of our structure should have stability and capability of maintaing top flight football. Why do we always struggle? Is it because the chairman? Manager? Attracting players? The funds? Wage structure? Sometimes i ask myself why couldn't I have been born in Chelsea or Manchester or fkn Madrid for that matter! But im Sunderland, im Sunderland till i die and I can say I will support us regardless of division or hierarchy!

100% behind poyet, it's problems from above with lack of investment is the main problem for me.

it maybe is this , if Gus has an issue and it looks that way with his comments surely the best course of action is sitting down with one and all and thrashing out how he feels it should be instead of the public soundbites , there seems there is something holding us back and we dont seem that far away from kicking on . Would be a crying shame after what we earned the latter part of last season to see it pissing in the wind as a memory if he leaves .

150m in player player purchases since his arrival. Writing off over 50m of debt ex Drumaville mess to capital. Delving into his own pocket to make up for losses due to wage costs blowouts ( 30m + pa for several years )
Yeah there must be busloads of investors waiting to take the whole lot off him.

I'd say Poyet is the ultimate mixed bag. Some terrific performances and results, some undeniably good moves, equally some rotten decisions (5-3-2 to the point of near relegation being the obvious) and a real mix in the transfer market.

I remain unconvinced but he deserves longer to prove the SMB right or wrong according to your viewpoint.
I'll go with this. Poyet obviously believes in a system and he must know who or what type of player he needs in January to make his system a success. At the moment his system isn't working well.
Short needs to give Poyet the means to get what he thinks he needs. I know Poyet's signings up to now are dodgy ( I don 't believe the tosh that they are not his signings ) but he needs to be supported by Short right now.
If he is supported and it still doesn't work then he's had his chance and must go.

It's crap managers like Keane wasting over 60m in one season on absolute rubbish that have caused investment issues

Didn't some fans abuse Bruce? MON? PDC? RK? MicMac? Wilki? Reidy? Buxton? Denis Smith, Laurie Mac? Bob Stokoe? Pop? Ian McFarlane? Jimmy A? Ken K? Alan B? Ian McColl? George Hardwick? I only go back 60 years so the old timers can fill in the gaps. Just wondering what is your point? It's not right to abuse but it seems we have a history of frustrated fans, so it isn't going to change overnight. :)

I think it's perfectly understandable that Short has reined in spending, he's seen three managers fritter away a big chunk of his fortune to go from relegation stragglers to..... Relegation stragglers.

What I struggle to understand is how a squad capable of giving the best a run for their money can turn in so many half arsed performances.
