How does Dack fit in the model

I really didn't want him, just didn't see where he'd fit in & thought he'd be a waste of a wage. Tbf there was quite a few like me who upon him signing had a little moan on here & twitter etc, I haven't seen that level of negativity towards a new signing since both times Danny Graham came in.
Some of his sub cameos have been laughably bad & as someone has already mentioned he comes too deep when we could really do with him occupying the cb's. I know it is his natural game to come deep as a #10 but he's supposedly played a lot for Blackburn as a 9/false 9 & given his experience he must be able to see that up top is where the team need his leadership the most.
Against Preston he came in for Hemir & was asked to play 9/false 9 but him & Jobe ended up occupying the same position in midfield & we ended up with no one up top. It wasn't until they were flipped & Jobe went 9 that they started to click & looked lije they were forming a decent partnership particularly against Southampton. This is where I'm going to completely contradict myself & my feelings on Dack. I'd still happily see him move on in January & there's certainly no way I'd be handing him another 12 months...
BUT short term are him & Jobe the best option we have up top? No one has taken ownership of the 9 & 10 positions, this season in fact we've often played without a 10 preferring a 6 & two 8's but Ekwah has looked really uncomfortable playing the 6. Personally for the next couple of games at least I'd go back to what worked so well against Southampton.

I think he's a better player than we've seen but been hampered by injuries, the fact Pritchard stayed and also that Bellingham has probably played far more minutes than anyone expected.

So basically he cant get anywhere near a run of games to get match fit.

It wouldnt be a huge shock if he left in January.
