Shame there wasn't another buyers like. Hate the way Ashley does business.
Sad to see the fat twat has bought HOF. Was sad about it’s demise but now it will feel cheap. He couldn’t care lesss about his staff.
People will always need their hair cut. Recession and online-proof. Likely be the only kind of shops we’ll see soon, apart from incredibly efficient clothing shops.
NUFC have bought HOF, wafa is fuming
Looking forward to buying some Lonsdale trainers from House of Fraser.
Wonder if it was fat Mike's plan all along? Become a minority shareholder, wait for it to go to the wall, step in to save it and then fill it with Lonsdale shorts at 2 for £5.
Fuck me , I’d have never have thought that would be the case, you learn something new every day.
Well done mr mike Ashley
Rescued the scum and now rescues house of Fraser
Knighthood beckons imo
There was talk that Ashley would still put it into administration if he bought it. That could be to avoid the massive pension gap of £180 million. He could probably renegotiate the £5 million quarterly rent bill too. Interesting that he also has a 30% stake in Debenhams.
How many clothes shops does Ashley own now then? Off the top of my head
Van Mildert, Cruise, USC?
As above 30% of Debenhams. I wouldn't be surprised if that's his next target.
Flannels anarl doesn't he?
Not sure on Flannels, wouldn't be surprised like. Feels like he owns all the clothes shop in the North East. I know at Cruise they were starting to put in place sports direct practices.
homebase, I can get me budlight & apple cider vinegar & crisps within 2 hours now at door (free delivery) from amazon, its game over for rest, morrisons did good teaming up with amazon.
A twat but a fucking brilliant businessman!
got 60 bottle's for £30 V supermarkets @ 36 for £21
Anar but ha way man. Bud light for fucks sake
So it's actually sports direct that have bought it, rather than Ashley himself and it seems he plans to do some rebranding. Lol
Cool does that mean the reason SD shut down at the Wheatsheaf Retail Park was to reopen as Binns?
