Horses and carts on the roads

Out in force down Bish today (where else?)

Already nearly caused one accident, some kid looked about 8 driving one on his own down the middle of a 60mph road

Should be f***ing banned

It's their arrogance man, they know they're causing mayhem and they f***ing love it, pikey helmets.

A car is a hell of a lot safer than a horse that can get SPOOKED , and shit all over the road

Normally by the twats driving their cars too close to the pony and carriage when overtaking them.
We always go out on the roads around our place with the pony and carriage and always wear hi-viz gear plus ligbts in the winter.
And I ain't no pikey either

Do you pay tax and insurance on that?

Three in convoy last Sunday on the A69 from Hexham there must have been three to four on each some were supping from cans with heavy vehicles bombing past. They don't have any fear or aware of the danger they might be in,or cause.

Few months back there was about 150 of them going along Felling bypass and along Old Durham Road and parked up at the Plough pub for some social. Some cheeky old woman pulled up on that roundabout between felling bypass and old Durham road and blocked all the traffic for 10-15 mins whilst all these horse and carts could get through, driven by all sorts of repbrobrates. Then took another 20 mins to go about 2 miles up Old Durham Road. Cheeky swines.

They are not forced to pay for insurance, or pay tax while using the road, they don't wear seatbelts, and won't get stopped for not having a license or drinking or using a mobile.
Basically, it's a loophole in the law that was made years ago when there was less traffic on the road..
So if you were to get hit by one, good f***ing luck in getting them to pay out.

Saw about half a dozen of them going down Bridge Street this morning towards the Wheatsheaf. One of them had a young lad sitting on the cart by himself, he must have only been about 9 or 10. I don't understand how kids in cars by law have to be in car seats, use seat belts etc but gypsy kids can just sit on the back of carts. How dangerous is that .

What's a cart ?

The bit the horse(often found roaming the streets of ashington and newbiggin) pulls along the street. Sometimes the locals will pimp them up with a battery powered wireless, put spokey dokies on the wheels or paint their horse a fancy colour.

That's the problem right there. Laws dont seem to apply to them.
