Honeyman after match interview

But this threads about him.
It was about his interview, which first reply you said. Not seen it, but I think he’s gash!
That can just be the starting point for every single thread about any of our players if you think that about him.

This should be stickied.

The SMB would have Messi out after a month because he didn't look like he cared after we conceded the third goal. Everyone is either amazing or terrible, no in-betweens and if someone praises a player, or says anything positive, someone HAS to get the boot in and say 'not good enough' like they would recognise a good player when they saw one.

Football at every level except Man City's is about turning 'average' players into role players who together are better than the sum of their parts. Simpson, Huth, Morgan, Fuchs, Okazaki etc should have been nowhere near a premier league title, but they managed it despite both Huth and Morgan having the pace of Douglas Bader on Temazepan.

You can't just wave a magic wand and get better players, but even if you could, many teams pay tens of millions for players who don't work out (including us). We have to stop this 'he's shite' stuff because one day we're going to get promoted, and loads of those type of players are going to contribute in big ways. We always look to move on from players because they're limited or we think we can do better, but we're a prime example of being careful what you wish for.
Good post.
Sadly we have held onto the wrong players, over the past few seasons.

Well it could be and I've never said otherwise and I'm not sure why you have a bee in your bonnet, we appear to be on the same wavelength in our thoughts.

A lot of supposed shit players can actually look ok in a decent team. They may not be the superstars who can walk into any team and look class but they can be the cogs which make a good team tick over. Think of players like Leon Britton, Joe Allan, etc.

I’m just being a dick myself really! As I say I’m tired of people picking on the young lads who are trying their best and statistically being better than the seniors while the senior players get praised for having half a game where they haven’t stunk to high heaven.
I suppose I just wanted more in this thread to a acknowledge that he’s gash but better than most others have been for us in midfield this season. You just happened to be the post I replied to!

This is one of our problems, fans too concerned with symbolism than success. Honeyman is dogshit and dragging us down to league one. I'd rather have somebody that couldnt speak a word of English, couldnt point sunderland out on a map and flew in from f***ing Timbuktu every matchday if they were good at football.

Seems very inconsistent, has looked like he could make it at this level this season vs Hull and Derby but then puts in a performance like yesterday.

He's our second leading scorer you Muppet so has given us more points than anyone else bar McGeady
btw who should have been in all season (ahead of him) that would have taken us to such great heghts :?:

He's scored in two draws and a cup game. How has he won us more points than anyone but McGeady?
