Effrafax, do you still need bottles. Took delivery of 6 bag fulls on Monday and had to store them in my garage so the recycling men didn't take them off the drive.

Yes please mate, sorry, haven't had chance to get down. Should be able to collect after work today if that's any good?

I'll pm you once at work.

Cheers

Nice one ;)

It is easy to spend a load of money on there like, ive got about £70 waiting in my basket for when i get paid, and that doesn't include and ingredients

Could have spent double that easy!

Biggy this month is a 5 gallon barrel, quite excited for that, rest was a lager kit and then mostly stocking right up on ingredients such as spray malt, malic acid, etc etc etc :)

I've read somewhere that adding some to the turbo ciders is good, ah here is the post -:

I find that to improve turbo cider you need to make your apple juice more like cider apple juice. The variaty of apples used in apple juice are dessert apples which lack the tannin and malic acid of cider apples. Traditional cider undergoes Malolactic fermentation in the months of storage after the primary fermentation. The malic acid is converted to the softer tasting lactic acid which contributes to the proper taste of cider. Tannin adds the bite.

Finally turbo cider is greatly improved if you use a cider yeast. I cultured one from I think a bottle of Westons scumpy cider.

So

a) add a teasoon of tannin per gallon
b) add a teaspoon of malic per gallon
c) use a cider yeast

And leave well alone for six months then you will have great tasting turbo cider. :thumb: :thumb:

Oh and oldbloke says add some pectolase if you want nice clear cider.

Worth a bash I think, was only a few quid.
