Buy a still and take it up to 40%!!!!

I read about making your own spirits, have to be very careful as the first 10% off is methanol which if drank will blind you. Not quite sure how that works as surely that is already in the brews we make, maybe because it is concentrated

oh really ? i might pop down today and see if its on offer
is this for ale or ciders?

They come in a lager or bitter kit generally. Though occasionally a cider version of the Youngs starter kit pops up.

Grab a lager starter kit £25 and a Cider kit £10. Spend a fiver on lemonade bottles and £3 on sugar.
80 pints of snakey :)

Then you have all the kit to get into it all properly

It's all down hill from there. My collection of FVs keeps growing and growing.

Just bottled my Young's bitter. I did it with brew enhancer and it tastes smashing.
2 empty FVs at the minute but they won't be tomorrow :p

Dry Hopping is leaving some hops to soak in the fv, it adds aroma and flavour. If you want to add more bitterness you have to boil the hops for a bit first and then add the water to the brew.
That spraymalt in the link has hop extract already added so probably does a bit of both.

I used that hopped spraymalt on my IPA I did last. Worked really well, added a nice crisp hoppy finish, but that may also be that it was an IPA kit...

ive got 2 empty FV at home, and going into Newcastle town centre over lunch so thinking of calling in wilkos. Not sure what ill get though...

got wilko pilsner with the free brewing sugar. £10 is a bargin! Think I'm going to get a barrel for this and try keeping it in there. Will carbonate it as i normally would then try a pint to see if it has kept the pressure/fizz and if not use a CO2 canister.

Champion.

You had it before marra? Might try some of their other stuff.
