Might start putting the bottles next to the radiator for a week on the next batch.. Like I say, it might just be that the top wasn't sealed properly, given the mould. Smelled nice though. Will test it at the weekend for research purposes only of course.

The mould?

ouch, i have a dedicated bottling bin. It has a tap on the bottom which attaches to a bottling stick like you showed. I put my boiled sugar in first then syphon into from the FV. Makes it dead easy to bottle.

Flash bassa.I'm getting one when I get back to work!

Reet, I've just opened a bottle of Cerveza and although a gave a little bit of fizz, it was quite flat. Will chilling before drinking increase fizz? If not, is it too late to put it somewhere warm for a week in the hope of developing some fizz then cooling it back down again? Or do I just put it through the sodastream when I open it?

Always stick mine in the fridge for a couple of hours before drinking never had a or problem. I put 3 teaspoons of sugar in per 2 litres.

But mine has been in the garage the whole time since bottling. Wasn't placed anywhere warm. Saying that, just checked my diary and it was bottled a week after my TC's and one of them was fizzy as fuck so hoping this should be alright. Taking no chances with the lager I have to bottle and am going to do individual bottles again this time.

I've done lagers a few times. The last batch I done just stayed in the garage after bottling them up and it took much longrr to get a fizz in them than it has from bringing in the house.

It seems they need warming to carbonate quickly.

Cheers. Wasn't planning on drinking them any time soon, so should be OK.

Just bottled my Young's lager up (4%). Putting an IPA on tonight and one of either Scottish Heavy or Wilko Newkie Brown. Undecided which at the moment.

30 bottles of Sauvignon Blanc should be ready to bottle Saturday/Monday.

 How come when you're in a Hotel thats surrounded by good breweries like Shepard Neame and Woodfordes, are the drinks choices f***ing fosters, f***ing john smiths, shit f***ing guinness and f***ing bastard blackthorn?:evil::evil:
