Home Friendly 27th July

Who organised this for a Saturday night

This club couldn't organise a piss up in a brewery

Same date as the Airshow. It was either an evening kickoff or nothing.

I don't understand home friendlies. Surely they cost more to stage than could possibly be made?

On the other hand, the club got a huge amount of grief for not having home friendlies. It's cost vs keeping people happy.

How bout not having a home friendly on the week of the air show

Exactly the same fuck up as the smoggy friendly last season

I think having it after the airshow is a topper idea. Those who moan that the attendance will be low probably aren't factoring in the fact that it would be low regardless because of the general feeling at the moment.

It just seems a bit of a daft game to stage. If it was Cattermole's testimonial then fair enough.
I liked it when we played friendlies at Bishop Auckland (I think it was,), mind.
By the sounds of it Cattermole was offered a testimonial, but hasn't took them up on it. Donald said "it needs to be driven by the player".
