Home form

The first 6 home games were 5 wins and a draw against Leeds
Clean sheets in all the wins.
Since then we've won 6 drawn 5 and lost 1
Only 3 clean sheets which were wins against Portsmouth and Luton and a draw against West Brom
13 goals conceded in the other 9 home games
Really needs to be sorted out before the play offs
Still the third best home record in the league.
It is when you consider who the opposition was.
The recent five drawn were Preston, Watford, Plymouth, Bristol City and West Brom. And we lost to Hull.

Hull stuffed Sheff United 3-0 at Bramall Lane.

Leeds have dropped points at Preston this season. Burnley drew home & away against them.

Watford started the season in play-off contention, had a blip, and are back in the running.

Bristol City have been in play-of contention for months and I quite fancy them to get in. They've just drawn at Bramall Lane, and Leeds dropped points down there earlier in the season.

West Brom have been in play-off contention all season, and have drawn home and away against Leeds, Sheffield United and Burnley. They're unbeaten against the top 4 with only us left to play.

None of those games were the cakewalk some made them out to be.

Not expecting any game to be a cakewalk but it shows the limitations of our tactics and coaches. Tried something different against Plymouth and Preston which didn't work. The other teams listed played well against us and we had no answer to that.

Our playing staff are better than all of those teams you listed and we couldn't find a way past them. I don't have the answer but based on our start to the season I think its fair of fans to have anticipated the coach would have had the answers.

What it shows is that you can't win them all.

Leeds and Sheff United couldn't find a way past West Brom. Sheff United were dismantled by Hull.

It's football. It happens.

It’s almost like Regis is working minor miracles having us 4th in the table with this young squad

Bloody hell - what more do people want? We simply can’t compete from a squad depth pov with Burnley sheff u or Leeds

There are no easy games. So not bad.

Exactly.

And you have to take into consider the circumstances n the day. Against Watford Jobe had pulled up in training the day beforehand, so he was out. Mundle was still out. Meph probably had one of his worst games for us in an otherwise excellent season. They scored a worldy.

And we probably still should have won with two very good late chances.

Hull - we battered them. Couldn't put our chances away. Story of our season despite being the fourth highest goalscorers in the division.

West Brom and Bristol City came during a tough spell when we were missing Mundle.

I'm amazed that no one has picked up how crap our defence has become. conceding goals in every game is not a good look and its the main reason why we have dropped off since the turn of the year.

Coventry on Saturday starts with us knowing that we will have to score at least 2 goals to win as they are odds on to score at least 1.

Although our home form is better, it’s been far more enjoyable watching games away from home this season. Teams tend to get at us first half away from home which suits us better as we then dominate second half when they drop the press. At home we struggle to break down teams who sit in the low block and it’s like watching paint dry with the slow build up.

At the start of the season, we were pressing high with an intensity which helped us dominate. For some reason this has stopped and we tend to drop off and allow the opposition to grow into games. This has been the most obvious difference since the first 6 games.

feels like we're in danger of limping into the play offs without a feel good factor if we dont find a way to break down teams that have work us out at home. Really need to up the pace of play and stop being so ponderous.
