Holidays in Mexico

I love Mexico, the exit tax has always been a thing. It used to be 50 US dollars.

Make sure you have the cash to pay it at the airport. There's one cash machine that charges rip off fees to get money out. Saw people complaining about it when we were at the airport.

Wtf, cheeky

Looking at booking in August for 4....some countries just take the piss like.

Happens loads. Have paid tourist tax in Spain, Italy and Greece. You have to pay it to the hotel and the rates depends on the number of stars the accommodation has.

Off to Mexico shortly (look at me, pathetic etc etc....)

Spoke to someone who came back recently and they had to pay a £50 "tax" in the airport to leave the country

Someone else had also been and said that they didnt have to pay it

Any one any idea what the craic is?
Think it depends who you book it with, some holiday providers include it in the price of your holiday so worth checking. Think it’s also cash only, no cards.

Why the fuck are you going there? Serious question.
This. Shithole.

Remember going to San Diego and then onto Palm Springs and we had a day in rosarita and somewhere else. Went through Tijuana on the bus and dropped a few people off. f***ing hell what an eye opener

At rosarita we went into a bar and order two rounds of drinks and you could tell he thought he was ripping us off by charging summit like £4 for the 4 drinks. He shut the shop up for the day after we left.

Beggars on the streets and then in the way back people lining up to get across the wall they have there

Shithole country. No thanks.

So, that opinion of the entire country is based on passing through a border town on a bus and a tourist resort within 10 miles of the border?
