Holding the public to account?

Rather than point the finger at that eejit Boris for this ongoing mess do you feel at any point we need to hold the people responsible who are continuing to catch & spread this in their thousands?

Now we can all kid ourselves that people can unwittingly catch this in Supermakets etc but it’s glaringly obvious that the vast majority of infections are as a result of people failing to social distance (I feel genuine pity for the people who DO Catch this unwittingly btw).

It seems beyond belief that 6 month after having social distancing and hand washing rammed down our throat 4,000 a day are testing positive (PHE estimate it could be well over double that but due to them being asymptomatic and a lack of testing we dont know).

Until we get a vaccine the longer people keep spreading this shit the longer we have to carry on with masks, restrictions on movement, social distancing, the more businesses are screwed, the travel industry is screwed, The more local lockdowns we have, school closures, job losses, the more fucked the economy gets — It’s that simple.

I know people suffering hardship as a result of some dickhead coming back from Zante infecting people, I know families suffering hardship and misery because of THAT event at Burnside Club. At what point do we hold the great British Public responsible?
That’s exactly what the government want you to do

Other countries haven’t had these problems
Seriously what’s the point in locking down the stuff people in the relatively safe age group frequent, when i‘ve lost count of the old people I’ve seen shuffling around shops with their noses poking out of their masks and handling a shit load of goods before putting them back? That’s what’s going to catch them out, not their grandkids going out and getting pissed with their mates before chatting to them a few days later in their gardens from a safe distance.
Brilliantly put sparts! People will look back and laugh about things like this one day

i know they're not government but when cummings went for a drive to test his eyesight and johnson's dad's route back from greece gave every person in the country an excuse not to follow the guidelines.
do as i say, not as i do springs to mind.
i do however think there seems to be an overwhelming attitude of wanting to blame somebody else without taking any personal responsibility. not helped by the likes of the internet loons with an agenda including those on here.
i'd love to see the water cannon used on those who turn up at trafalgar square, well i would if they hadn't been sold off.
This. No one is listening any more
The UK has more than it's fair share of Charvers.
So does France and Germany mate

Public should be ashamed of themselves letting the government and Dom the com down
Hang your heads
Where are these places? I keep hearing of people being challenged down the country and in Liverpool but theres not a bit of it going on up in the NE.

If the charvas dont want to wear a mask in. Shops or on packed buses they dont wear a mask and no one bats and eyelid it’s that simple.
I emailed nexus about this on the metro
They said it was up to the police to enforce it but police and metro staff were upping enforcement
Get the Indian police in with their big sticks
Less carrot

They followed the same rules as every other country in the world mate.
Who, Sweden ? They were told this germ was about & given guidance and relied on common sesne. No masks followed, no distancing regulation followed, no pubs/restaurant closures, gatherings still allowed...meanwhile we were locked in our houses not allowed to visit relatives & getting food home delivered? Have you forgotten all that ?

You do realise that Sweden has a landmass that is nearly twice the size of the UK, and an absolutely tiny population by relative comparison? The population of London alone, is almost equivalent to the entire population of Sweden.

Indeed, so yep we are talking about the major cities of Sweden. What's the point ?

Lets say you had 2 people, both have a cold. You put one of them with another 100 people in a 100 metre room, and the other with 20 people in a 200 metre room.

Everything else being equal, which room do you think would have more total cases of cold, and more per capita?

We’re fighting against nature FFS.
Hide if you want but she’s bitten the arses of better foes than us over the last 4 billion years and won every time.
Fuck the old and weak and enjoy yourselves why you still can 👍
A bit off topic but this reminds me of the save the planet argument. The reality is the planet is not under threat from climate change or pollution. It will self correct itself over millions and billions of years. What is under threat is us and lots of our fellow species who populate the planet with us. The Planet created the fossil fuels and given enough time it will purge itself of the effects and probably then create some more.

We should take climate change very seriously but dont be so arrogant as to think we are saving the planet. The Planet will be fine, its us you need to worry about.

They have the highest Nordic infection rates and deaths by far.
One of the highest in Europe as a whole.
There was a lot of pub and restaurants closed during the peak of the pandemic anyways.
They had similar restrictions on care homes as we did.
People were working from home where possible.
