Holding the government to account



The appointment of the utterly clueless Dido Harding as Head Of Test And Trace - any Private Eye readers will have been aware of her previous form over the last ten years of turning everything she touches to shit....and she hasnt let us down again.

There's plenty of people had to claim sickness benefits because they didn't get furlough payments, yes it was good but not for every one, it's also going to be used as a stick to beat yet more taxes and cuts into us.
 
Doing absolutely nothing for weeks back in February/early March when the virus was reaping havoc in Northern Italy.

A sizable percentage of the public have also acted like morons since, mind...

So it’s the governments fault that people are ignoring what they are asking people to do....isn’t it about time people started taking responsibilities for their actions instead of playing the blame game

But if people didn’t get furloughed surely their employers are to blame for that....the government put in place the system but the decision was down to employers....

It's been here since the beginning of the year 🤷‍♂️ They just never tested for it back then.
 
There’s an awful lot of government blame that has been brought about by public incompetence.

Just being on this forum from the off saw that in abundance.

It’s still happening now.

Not taking anything away from the absolute total mess they have produced throughout this mind.

"90% of test results are delivered within 24 hours"
Official Government figures 17 Sept.
"33% of in person and only 1.9 of home test results are delivered within 24 hours"
The figures don't lie, our Government does.

Being very slow to react. Madrid closed down their schools and called an emergency in the city. On the same day loads of athletico Madrid fans flew to the uk. Far too slow to close the borders

Cummings has been a big one. They could have got away with a pay off then quietly restoring him later, but things show when the current increased lockdown. People don’t care because they can’t be punished. The government lost all control after that incident.
 
By first asking themselves “how will this make us look” instead of “what is best for the country”

How do you feel about the Tory furlough scheme. Good for people and the economy, or would you have liked to see mass redundancies/suspension of pay for the masses who could not work?
 
The transfer of taxpayer money to private (tory related) firms for services that they either can't provide, will never be asked to provide, or are doing a shit job of providing.

If you hate socialism so much then please stop using the NHS. This is socialism in all its glory. In fact why not sign a do not resuscitate this person unless it’s in a BUPA hospital form😀

Everyone involved in virus response should be expected to have their actions scrutinised.

Did we ever find out who was responsible for the Army going into the pandemic PPE stockpile and finding loads of boxes that hadn't been opened with no idea of what the contents were, for example?
