For that sort of fee i don't think it's bad business at all and suggests that the player and manager are keen also, if it's true that the deal hinged on 25 league appearances and we still go ahead, it's quite telling. We will need two keepers so this fits.

I'd be more than happy for him to return.

Let's face it, keepers do have peaks/troughs in form and whilst Patts currently has the gloves, there is no guarantee he keeps them if his form drops.

Not too keen on this tbh, I think patterson has been a much better keeper and if we have money to spend we should be buying a better keeper than patterson.

He had plenty game time. Hoffman hasn't played in months. Just can't see it happening when there's cheaper alternatives around.

i mean i wouldnt spend that money on hoffman either...but its not out of sync for us to spend 600k on nback up players..
