HMS Anson

Pressure heads and sundodgers.

I had a narrow escape from that life thanks to a perforated eardrum when I was a bairn. Failed the medical as the docs reckoned prolonged exposure to the pressure would rupture it again. The money would've been nice but I had more foreign jollies on my 1st sea draft on a frigate than my best mate from school got from 22 years on S boats & bombers.

Zero tales of daring and intrigue though. You wins some ya lose some.

Funny how they rule people out for that type of thing when you are very rarely exposed to anything other than atmospheric pressure. Vacuum tests for watertightness and trips to the escape tank at Dolphin, which I don't think they do anymore. Suppose it keeps the riff raff out.
